The Red Shard (Japanese: あかいかけら Red Shard) is a type of item introduced in Generation III. It is one of the Shards.
In the core series games
Price

In the Generation V games, the Red Shard can be sold to the ore maniac inside the Icirrus City Pokémon Center for $200.
Effect
In Hoenn, a Red Shard can be exchanged with the Treasure Hunter on Route 124 for a Fire Stone.
In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, ten Red Shards can be exchanged with the shard collector on Route 212 for TM11 (Sunny Day).
In Pokémon Platinum, 2, 4, 6, or 8 Red Shards can be exchanged with Move Tutors to teach Pokémon moves.
In Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, a Red Shard can be exchanged with the Juggler in Violet City for a Cheri, Leppa, and Pecha Berry, or with the Juggler in Fuchsia City for a Persim, Razz, and Pomeg Berry.
In Pokémon Black 2 and White 2, 2, 4, 6, 8, or 10 Red Shards can be exchanged with the Driftveil City Move Tutor to teach Pokémon moves.
In Alola, 30 Red Shards can be exchanged with the old man who appears in the Festival Plaza castle post-game for a Bottle Cap.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, three Red Shards are one of the crafting ingredients required to craft a Star Piece.
