Pokémon Silver / Pokémon FireRed
If it has just had a baby, the milk it produces contains much more nutrition than usual.
Pokémon Crystal
In order to milk a Miltank, one must have a knack for rhythmically pulling up and down on its udders.
Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire
Miltank gives over five gallons of milk on a daily basis. Its sweet milk is enjoyed by children and grown-ups alike. People who can't drink milk turn it into yogurt and eat it instead.
Pokémon Emerald
It gives over five gallons of milk daily. Its sweet milk is enjoyed by children and grown-ups alike. People who can't drink milk turn it into yogurt and eat it instead.

Name origin

Miltank's name is a combination of milk and tank, a storage container for liquid. The tank part of Miltank's name could also refer to her tank-like defense stats.

Miltank is based on female cattle, or cows.

Note that Miltank's ability halves the power of Fire and Ice moves; if the ability is Skill Swapped, the effectiveness of those types doubles.

In the anime

Miltank first appeared under the ownership of Whitney during EP158 and EP159.

For EP207, a Miltank was gaurding an area that was for Pokémon only.

Harrison also has a Miltank, but he only used her to quell an argument between some Pokémon during the Silver Conference in EP268.
