Trivia
- The Japanese name for this move is in reference to the psychokinetic spoon bending tricks popularized by stage psychic Uri Geller. The English name is simply the "-kinesis" suffix from the Greek for "motion" from related words such as psychokinesis and telekinesis.
- Until Pokémon Yellow, it was impossible to learn Kinesis, as it only appeared as a random Metronome move prior.
- Excluding Struggle, Kinesis is one of three moves originating from Generation I that has not been used in the anime (the others being Barrage and Mirror Move).
