Visiting Kangaskhan Storage in Pokémon Square

Kangaskhan Storage (Japanese: ガルーラおばちゃんのそうこ Aunt Garura's Storage) is a shop in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. It is run by a motherly Kangaskhan (affectionately called Aunt Kangaskhan) which allows the player to store items. The space available in Kangaskhan Storage increases as the player proceeds through the game in Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, while in Red and Blue Rescue Team the player can store infinite in the beginning. Rewards which the player does not have space for in their bag are also deposited in Kangaskhan Storage.

Kangaskhan Storage is located in Pokémon Square in Red and Blue Rescue Team, in Treasure Town in Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky, and in the local town in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare)

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity and Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, the shop has been removed in favor of the Deposit Box that stores items and Poké.

Storage space in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky

In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness and Explorers of Sky, the number of items that can be stored is limited and depends on player's rank. The amount of storage space is as follows:

Storage allowance
Rank name Storage allowance
Normal Rank 64
Bronze Rank 96
Silver Rank 200
Gold Rank 320
Diamond Rank 480
Super Rank 560
Ultra Rank 640
Hyper Rank 800
Master Rank 1000

The storage allowance does not increase upon achieving the Master *, Master **, Master *** and Guildmaster ranks (Sky only) or Secret Rank.

Storage space in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon (WiiWare)

In the WiiWare games, the storage allowance is instead dependent on how many versions are linked to the save. One version allows for 320 items, two for 640 items and all three for 1000 items.

Kangaskhan Rock

A Kangaskhan Rock is an item in the Mystery Dungeon series, located at the very begining or midway points in dungeons, that allows the player to save their progress and check their storage. The player can not, however, check their storage in the midway point of a dungeon, except for the one in the puzzle room of Crystal Cave that connects Crystal Cave and Crystal Crossing and the ones at the 2nd, 4th and 6th Sky Peak Mountain Path.

When playing a Special Episode in Explorers of Sky the player can check the same storage as in the main story, and all items obtained in the episode when completed will automatically be sent to Kangaskhan Storage.

In the anime

Kangaskhan Storage in the anime

The Kangaskhan Storage and Kangaskhan appeared in the anime special Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate!. Kangaskhan called out to the newly formed Team Go-Getters when they were in need of items for their mission. She gave the team Pecha Scarves and Corsola Twigs. She then wished them good luck as they set off on their mission.
