Howling Forest (Japanese: とおぼえの もり Howling Forest) is a dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team and Blue Rescue Team. It consists of 15 floors.
After receiving access to the Friend Area Sky Blue Plains from an optional mission, the notice board may include a mission to rescue Smeargle. Accepting the mission will unlock Howling Forest. After completing the dungeon for the first time, Smeargle will join the rescue team for free. It might be sunny on 3F, 6F and 9F.
Howling Forest is also the only place to recruit certain Pokémon, such as Pidgey and Exeggcute.
It is also the only extra dungeon available before the ending.
