In the anime
(Japanese: グラシデア Glacidea) is a place presumably in Sinnoh. It is near the top of a mountain. Shaymin, along with others of its species, lives here. Pollen from Glacidea Flowers cause Shaymin to transform into their Sky Formes.
In the anime
Glacidea was a place featured in the movie, Giratina and the Sky's Bouquet: Shaymin, which Shaymin kept referring to as "that place".
In the games
Glacidea did not appear in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but its equivalent is the Flower Paradise, as Shaymin is there in the games and there are plenty of flowers, just like Glacidea. It is still unknown whether Glacidea will be in Pokémon Platinum, and it is unknown if the Glacidea Flower will be available in a certain point in the game or not.
Trivia
- Glacidea's name comes from the fact that it is next to a very large glacier. This glacier is the same one that was moving towards a small town and was eventually stopped.
