The Goldenrod City Dept. Store, often expanded to Goldenrod Department Store while dropping the redundant "City" from the name, is the largest shop in Johto, far larger than the average Poké Mart. Their slogan is "Full Selection of Pokémon goods!" The store is eight stories tall, including the roof and basement. It takes up quite a bit of space in Goldenrod City and is easy to find.

A team of workers and a Machoke are moving boxes around. People get told off by the worker for going down and distracting them. This is one of the endpoints of the Goldenrod Underground Path.
