Chasm Cave (Japanese: くうかんのどうくつ Spatial Cave) is a future dungeon in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Explorers of Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky. It has 8 floors and leads to Dark Hill. Since it is located in the future, it cannot be revisited outside of friend rescues and no Pokémon can be recruited inside of this dungeon.
Gameplay
The floors are ranked E, S and ★1, for purpose of Treasure Boxes and friend rescues.
Being the first future dungeon, Chasm Cave introduces certain new mechanics. It is first dungeon to focus on non-standard dungeon layouts (with only Apple Woods and Marowak Dojo using them sporadically beforehand). Floors 1, 4 and 7 will always be five rooms in a horizontal line, while other floors will generate 10 rooms on the edge, with connecting hallways in the center. There's 2-3 starting enemies in the first half of the dungeon, and 2-4 in the second half. Each floor has 1-4 items on the floor.
The IQ Booster activates on every even floor. The turn limit is 1000. The enemies in this dungeon have 26IQ, granting them Status Checker IQ skill. There is light darkness and no walls in this dungeon, making One-Room Orb unusable here and allowing Magnemite, Magneton, Drifloon, and Drifblim to travel completely unrestricted.
