Route 105 and 106

During your boat ride down route 105 and 106 you will catch a glimpse of some trainers and the Island Cave, home to Regice, one of the three legendary golems. Soon you will arrive at Dewford Town.

Dewford Town

First go into the North house and talk to the guy in there to acquire a Silk Scarf, then go into the Dewford Gym. Recommended for this battle are a Psychic types like Ralts and at least a flying type like Taillow or Beautifly due to the presence of the part-Psychic type Meditite from some of the trainers.

The puzzle for this gym is the entire Gym is pitch black and by defeating gym trainers the range of light slightly expands making it easier to move around. In the gym there are three trainers and by defeating them it will be easier to see. There is one to through the corridor on the right on where you start, the second by going up the passage walking up through the passage and into the passage on the left wall, and the third in the passage above trainer #2 by walking up and then heading through the passage on the left. To reach Brawly you must proceed to the other side of where trainer #3 is and simply head through the right passageway from trainer #3 and follow it to Brawly. Once there start your battle with Brawly.

Once Brawly is defeated the lights will come completely on, removing the darkness and he will give you the Knuckle Badge allowing you to now use Flash outside of battle and controlling traded Pokémon level 30 or below. You'll also be given TM08 (Bulk Up). Once outside head out of Dewford Town to the north and onto Route 106 and into Granite Cave from there.

Granite Cave

Once inside talk to the Hiker you see upon entering to gain HM 05 (Flash), now that you have the Knuckle Badge it can be used outside of battle. Once you teach it to a Pokémon head down the ladder to a dark cavern which is Basement 1 and use Flash to spread the light and follow the path to the opposite end to find a another ladder leading to the Basement 2. The ladder that leads back up is above the ladder you just used but you need to follow the path to the left to climb the stairs so you can reach the ladder but on the way there is another staircase that leads to a white rock and by click the button in front of it a hidden Everstone is found. Also for Basement 2 there are smashable rocks that can be used to find Geodude and Nosepass but you'll need to beat the next gym before it is possible to use Rock Smash on them.

Once back in basement 1 go to the nearby stairs to reach the 1st floor and go to the door at the opposite end to find Steven Stone and give him the Letter from his father. Once the mission is done leave the cave but note the other path on Basement 1 where a few more items can be found is only accessible once the the Mach Bike is found in Mauville City.

Dewford Town

Now that the letter has been delivered Mr. Briney can now take you to Slateport City but note if you return to Rustburo and talk to Mr. Stone he will given you the Exp. Share for delivering the letter.
