Gather Up! Dream Duo! (Japanese: 結成☆ドリームユニット) was a story event in Pokémon Masters EX. It was focused on the sync pairs Dawn and Oricorio, Lisia and Galarian Rapidash, and Kali and Azumarill.
The "Dawn Seasonal Scout" gave players an increased chance of recruiting Dawn (New Year's 2023) and Oricorio for the duration of the event, and the "Lisia Seasonal Scout" gave an increased chance of recruiting Lisia (New Year's 2023) and Galarian Rapidash for the duration of the event.
Players could team up with Kali (Furisode Girl) and Azumarill by completing the final story area of the event, New Year, New Show.
During this event, players could earn New Year Tickets A and New Year Tickets A+ from battles that could be redeemed in the Shop. All battles could be challenged an unlimited number of times except Daily Extreme Battle 1, which could only be challenged once per day. Extra New Year Tickets A and New Year Tickets A+ were automatically exchanged with coins once the event was finished.
The player could battle using Dawn (New Year's 2023) and Oricorio or Lisia (New Year's 2023) and Rapidash to obtain +0.6× bonus tickets; Volkner (New Year's 2022) and Electivire, Sabrina (New Year's 2022) and Chingling, Lance (New Year's 2021) and Gyarados or Lillie (New Year's 2021) and Ribombee to obtain +0.4× bonus tickets; and any unlisted Fairy and Ghost-type sync pairs to earn +0.2× bonus tickets.
This event featured the Battle Challenge, where players were challenged to defeat a team of strong opponents. Players could complete event missions by clearing these areas with teams using various theme skills, earning medals and other rewards.
