:::Yes it can be done at any time, in fact I kept using it to accurately collect data so I could successfully identify which Special Extension is for what Pokémon it is connected to since it is my personal policy to never post something without confirming it through testing first. There is no limit to this so use it as often as you want. -[[User:Tyler53841|Tyler53841]] ([[User talk:Tyler53841|talk]]) 07:07, 9 January 2013 (UTC) |

Number of Pokémon
Hey, out of curiosity, can you only get one of each Pokémon from the Dream Radar? I'd like to think that one can get more than one of each Pokémon. LittleOmu (talk) 03:56, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- Yes you can get more than one of each. I've gotten a Munna, and then 3 Drifloon. I am not sure about the Legendary Pokemon, but I would think you can only get one of each. Nothinglord (talk) 22:40, 7 October 2012 (UTC)
- Pretty much confirmed that recently, even with the Legendaries that require the Generation IV Game Cards. -Tyler53841 (talk) 06:52, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
Availability
Okay, we need to put some more info on this article. I've played for about an hour total, and ive found about six Swablu, two Minna, two Sigilyph, and one Drifloon, plus Tornadus. Also, I had Platinum Version in the DS slot the entire time, and Giratina did not appear. Could a few more people please help with the availability? KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 02:01, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks. I'm not really good at templates and stuff. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 12:22, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
Upgrades
Should we also include a section about the upgrades to the goggles/machine, and the minor plot of capturing Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus? I just wanted to ask first because I'm still not very good at editing main pages. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 02:06, 8 October 2012 (UTC)
- I say yes. We also need more info about how to unlock each of the extensions. While the article is good at telling you what you can get, it doesn't explain how very well. --KingStarscream (talk) 23:17, 23 October 2012 (UTC)
Levels
I got a level 20 riolu from it? It says that they should be level 10 Grass is the best (talk) 11:05, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Huh, that is a bit unusual. I remember reading somewhere that it was based on the number of badges a player has. How many badges do you have? (Just to make sure.) Super goku (talk) 22:57, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry, I wrote that it was level 10. The badge thing makes much more sense, I guess it just turned out that way for me. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 19:24, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Patterns
Sometimes I know which Pokémon I'm about to catch because the circle moves a certain way. For instance, whenever the circle gets smaller, then bigger, then smaller, I always get an Igglybuff. Whenever the circle is tiny and dodges all over the place I always get a Rotom. Whenever the circle appears, disappears and reappears, it's always a Swablu. Of course sometimes it's an item, but whenever a circle moves a certain way, it's literally always that Pokémon. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 11:20, 11 October 2012 (UTC)
- I agree, it does seem certain Pokemon have certain patterns (like Swablu teleporting). I caught a Porygon tonight -- you can't mistake one of them. Tiny size, moves about erratically in a sort of stop/go fashion. Toughest Pokemon catch yet (even more so than the legendaries)! --Stratelier 03:23, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- Rotom, Porygon, and Rare Candies all seem to share the same pattern - tiny, dodgier than a Double Team Snow Cloak in a hailstorm, and breaks free rather easily. - unsigned comment from Stratelier (talk • contribs)
Gender distribution?
Either I won the Random Number God's lottery tonight, or all Pokemon caught in the Dream Radar are female. After sending three Riolu and one Swablu to my White 2, I checked my PC box and discovered they were all female (which would otherwise be a 1/1024 probability). Can anyone confirm? --Stratelier 03:30, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- I've gotten plenty of male Pokemon from the Dream Radar --V4Victini (talk) 04:52, 14 October 2012 (UTC)
- So I wonder what the ratio gender distribution is ... if this were the PGL Dream World, getting four females (out of four) would be a 1/256 probability. And since the Dream Radar (unlike the Dream World) doesn't disclose genders in advance, I'm assuming BW2 calculates that info at transfer/receive time.... --Stratelier 18:29, 15 October 2012 (UTC)

- I just transferred another batch of six to my White 2 - a Rotom, Spiritomb, Munna, Igglybuff, and two Swablu - and when I checked my PC all of them (save Rotom) are female (a 1/32 probability). This cannot be coincidence; there has to be an explanation... but what? Can anyone post specifics from your experiences? --Stratelier 18:46, 17 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, there are a few possibilities. The first one is that it is based on the time sent to the game.(Unlikely, unless the times are close) The second is that it depends on the Trainer Card ID.(I can see a few problems with it.) The third is that it is based on the gender of the player. The final is that it depends on which version that the Pokémon are being sent to. Sadly, since I do not have DR the most I can do is suggest ideas. --Super goku (talk) 00:23, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
New gaming.
Just to be sure, like any other downloadable game on the 3DS, the saved data can be deleted (to catch more Landorus)? Please add the answer to the page. Nickvang (talk) 20:56, 4 November 2012 (UTC)
- I think that how it works is that there can only be one Therian Tornadus/Thundurus/Landorus on one game card, or something like that. It just doesn't seem right that you could just delete your data and get multiple legendaries, now does it? KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 22:47, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- Please only answer if you played the game and are sure. Nickvang (talk) 18:52, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- Each Dream Radar can transfer them once per Dream Radar file and each B2/W2 game can only receive them once per B2/W2 file. However, backing up a Dream Radar file on an SD card can alow you to transfer to multiple games, assuming you replace the Dream Radar data each time the Therians are transferred. - Blazios talk 21:33, 8 November 2012 (UTC)
- Actually, Nickvang, I do have Pokémon Dream Radar (most of the comments up there are mine) and I do know you cannot get legendaries more than once per PDR save file. What Blazios said makes sense. And I'll ask you to please not make assumptions if you do not know the information to be true. Thank you for your cooperation. KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 13:26, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Natures and IVs
Should it be mentioned? I mean, it's useful for players who would like to know if they can pick the Nature and IVs they want for the Pokémon caught with this app, because YOU CANNOT. Those things are randomized once they are transferred. This piece of info might be useful, since for some players it can be decissive wether it's worth downloading it or not. hfc2X 21:56, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- I don't think it's significant enough to mention; they're always randomized in-game and at events and stuff (other than those events in which they're preset), so the natural assumption should be that they're randomized for the app as well. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 22:03, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
- Well, when you get event Pokémon from Mystery Gift, you can save before picking up the Pokémon and soft-reset until you get a good Nature and IVs (unless those are preset as you said), so it's not the same since Dream Radar sends these Pokémon directly to the PC with randomized IVs and Natures. I'm pretty sure that for competitive players, this will mean a "NO" when it comes to downloading this app, but they would not find out until they already have done so. hfc2X 22:11, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Pokémon
I still have yet to find a Ralts or a Smoochum when using the basic extension. Are there some Pokémon that are unavailable to certain players maybe? KyuremsIceBlade (Talk) (Contribs) 13:33, 21 November 2012 (UTC)
Badges and levels
The article needs to note how many Badges correspond to what level. I have 5 Badges and my transferred Pokémon are level 30. Can anyone else help expand this list, so we can eventually put a table in the article? --SnorlaxMonster 05:58, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
Special Extensions
I know they need button combinations, but where do you do them? I've tried them on the title screen and "Start Search" screen, but I still can't figure out how I'm supposed to do it. --SnorlaxMonster 05:13, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- On the main research lab screen so don't hit it on "Start Search". It also must be done at a quick enough speed as well. When it works special dialogue will activate. -Tyler53841 (talk) 05:29, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- My other question is can this be done at any time, or do you need to catch Landorus first? Because I just caught Landorus then, so I can't test this anymore. --SnorlaxMonster 07:03, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
