In the anime

Plusle first appeared alongside Minun in AG038. Both of the Cheering Pokémon were owned by a kid named Batcher, who was responsible for protecting a lighthouse. The same Plusle-Minun duo appeared again in AG052, in which Batcher were training them to be cheerleaders.

Elijah used Plusle and Minun in a movie for AG086. The plot of the movie was that Plusle and Minun were setting out to rescue Princess Kirlia from an evil Exploud.

Plusle and Minun also appear in Destiny Deoxys. This pair of Cheering Pokémon loved to cause mischeif in LaRousse City.

The only Plusle to appear without a Minun is the Plusle under the ownership of Solana, who has appeared in a couple of episodes.
