Walkthrough:Pokémon Legends: Z-A/Side Missions 21-40

Side Mission 021: Spewpa in the Museum
For this one you have to find 12 Spewpa in the museum.
- Is on the handrail at the bottom of the stairs on the ground floor.
- One the ground floor behind the statue of Lucario.
- Between the sofas halfway up the stairs.
- At the top of the stairs on the first floor as the helmet on a suit of armour.
- In front of a row of paintings of people on the first floor.
- Between the statues of Dialga and Palkia on the first floor.
- In the exhibit of Hisuian clothing on the first floor.
- Inside the Hisuian store on the first floor.
- On a crafting bench across from the costumes on the first floor.
- In a line of Poké Balls on the first floor.
- On a sofa near the Poké Balls on the first floor.
- On the hologram of Lumiose City on the first floor.
Once you’ve spoken to all 12 Spewpa, you’ll be sent back to the couple on the ground floor. You’ll be given a Spewpa for your troubles, as well as $3000, 1 x Wise Glasses, and 3 x Normal Gem.
Side Mission 022: A Call from Mable
At some point after you visit a Pokémon Center Mable will call you and ask you to come to the Research Lab for a mission. Once you go to the Lab you will find Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander talking in the Director’s Office. You can choose the one you want and that will complete the mission. You will receive that Pokémon, $1000, 3 x Exp. Candy XS, and 2 x Exp. Candy S.
Side Mission 023: Underneath the Holovator
Investigate the patch of dirt in front of the Holovator, and choose to battle the Pokémon. It’s a level 28 Diggersby and you’ll have a chance to catch it after you defeat it. As a reward the Holovator will turn back on and you’ll receive $1500, Soft Sand and a Revive.
Side Mission 024: An Abra Playmate
For this mission you will need an Abra to trade for a Riolu. Abra are commonly found on rooftops and in Wild Zone 5. They are fast to scare, and if they see you they’ll Teleport away. However, this is much slower than they were in previous games so you will still have time to throw a ball. Aside from the Riolu you will receive $300 and 5 x Exp. Candy XS.
Side Mission 025: Trubblesome Patrons
Talk to Fumi to begin the mission. She will give you Tasty Trash and the three Trubbish will begin to follow you. You now have to walk over to the trash bins. If you’re not sure where they are then go to the missions tab on the map and turn on tracking for this mission. You can’t run while Trubbish are following you but it’s not far away. Investigate the bin to end the mission. For completing the mission you’ll receive $1200, 2 x Rare Candy, and 5 x Dusk Ball.
Side Mission 026: Burn: Litleo, Burn
Talk to Armie to begin the battle. He has a level 30 Litleo, Houndoom and Numel, all of which are strong for this stage of the game, so you might need a few Water-types on your team. For your win, you’ll receive a Burn Heal, $900, TM057 Will-O-Wisp, and a Fire Stone.
Side Mission 027: Restored from a Fossil
Speak to Reg at the Laboratory in the Research Lab and he will give you $20,000 to purchase either the Jaw or Sail fossil. Both are for sale so you don’t have to make the choice between Tyrunt (Jaw) and Amaura (Sail) permanently; you can pick them up and Aerodactyl (Old Amber) when you have the funds.
Once you have purchased a Fossil from the Stone Emporium slightly north of the lab, return to Reg to revive it. As a reward Reg will allow you to keep the Fossil Pokémon of your choosing, and will be allowed to revive other fossils you have. He will also give you $2500, a Hard Stone and 10 x Kelpsy Berry.
Side Mission 028: Who Says Normal Is Weak?
Speak to the man to initiate the battle. He has a level 29 Audino, Watchog, and Lopunny. For winning the battle you’ll receive $3000 and a Silk Scarf.
Side Mission 029: Full Course of Battles: One Star
Talk to Rintaro inside his restaurant to initiate this quest. You’ll face three battles back-to-back. First up is Audrey with a level 30 Pansage, and Skiddo. Then you’ll face Thomas with a level 30 Panpour and Carvanha. Finally you fight Thierry’s level 30 Pansear and Litleo. Once you’ve beaten all three you’ll receive $300, TM085 Substitute, 2 x Protein, and 2 x Iron.
Side Mission 030: Show Me a Mega Camerupt!
You receive Cameruptite from your battle with the Rogue Mega Evolution, so you only need to catch a Camerupt to complete this quest. Numel is easily obtained in Wild Zone 8 and evolves into Camerupt at level 33.
Make sure that Camerupt holding the Cameruptite is in your party, and that you Mega Evolve Camerupt during battle. Don't worry if it gets knocked out, you can use other Pokémon during the fight. She has a level 35 Watchog, Krokorok and Sharpedo. She will give you Fired Up and Lovestruck patterned contact lenses. You'll also receive $1200 and 2 x Fresh Water. Completing this mission also unlocks Side Mission 31.
Side Mission 031: Show Me Mega Sableye!
If you didn’t catch Sableye during Side Mission 003, you can catch it in Wild Zone 9 and use Mega Shards to purchase Sablenite from Quasartico Inc. Make sure you have Sableye in your party with Sablenite equipped and talk to her to start the battle. She has a level 35 Watchog, Carbink and Krokorok. Again don't worry if Sableye is knocked out as long as the Mega form was in battle at some point. You may have to charge the Mega Gauge by using regular attacks before you Mega Evolve
You’ll receive the Starry Eyes and Black Void contact lenses for winning as well as $3000 and 2 x Soda Pop. Finishing this mission also opens up Side Mission 032.
Side Mission 032: Show Me a Mega Medicham!
Meditite can be caught during the day in Wild Zone 6 on the court. However, it doesn’t evolve into Medicham until level 37. Medichamite is available at the Stone Emporium for $50000 so you’ll need to save up. Add Medicham to the party with the Medichamite attached and battle her level 35 Watchog, Krokorok and Meowstic, making sure that you Mega Evolve your Medicham at some point during the fight.
For your victory, you’ll earn Poké Ball and Cyber contact lenses, $5000, 2 x Lemonade, and 1 x Exp. Candy M.
Side Mission 033: Who Has the Bigger Magikarp?
Catch the Alpha Magikarp in Wild Zone 2. You can find it in the water or flopping on the land. Return and show it to the man to earn $1500, a Pearl, and 10 x Exp. Candy S.
Side Mission 034: Moves That Put Up a Wall
Talk to the trainer to start the battle. They have a level 34 Vivillon and Kadabra. The Kadabra will use Reflect while the Vivillon will use Light Screen. Once you win, you’ll receive $1100, TM031 Reflect, and a Lemonade.
Side Mission 035: Guidance from a Yoga Master
The clue that she gives you for finding the Yoga Master is “the spot closest to heaven in one circle among five that points to 12:00”. Following the clues, you need to speak to the woman at top of the building in Wild Zone 3. You might need to defeat the Alpha Litleo that sleeps in front of the staircase in order to get to her. For finding her you’ll receive $2000, a Twisted Spoon and 5 x Exp. Candy S.
Side Mission 036: Some Friendly Competition
Talk to the trainer to start the battle. She has a level 35 Lopunny and Clefairy. You’ll receive $3000 and a Soothe Bell for winning.
Side Mission 037: Binnacle by the Boatload
Talk to the Binnacle in front of the boat to start the battle. There are five level 34 Binnacle and all five will attack you at once so it can be a tricky fight. Your best chance at winning is to lure some away from the pack by walking backwards down the pier so that you're not surrounded. You can also use moves that affect the area around you. Once you’ve taken them all out, you’ll receive $1500, and 3 x Pearl.
Side Mission 038: Chasing Status
Talk to the man to start the first half of this fight. He has a level 36 Riolu and Meditite, and beating him opens up the fight against his partner who has a level 36 Ariados and Arbok. Once both are taken out, you’ll receive $2500, 3 x Protein, 3 x Calcium, and a Power Bracer.
Side Mission 039: Slowpoke for Slowpoke
You can catch a Slowpoke easily in Wild Zone 10. Once you have one you can trade it for Galarian Slowpoke. Aside from your new Pokémon, you’ll receive $1000, a Pearl, and a Power Belt.
Side Mission 040: A Holovator Without Power
For this mission all you need to do is hit the Holovator with a strong Electric-type move. We used Ampharos’ Thunderbolt. This will activate the Holovator and reward you with $1700, 3 x Ultra Ball 10 x Mega Shard.
