Coffee and cats
As the group of you from Team MZ sit down for coffee at the Nouveau Café food truck on Vert Street, you talk about the previous battles, and Lida says she is going to evolve her Staryu so that next time she can use Mega Evolution. As you are talking you are approached by a strange maid. It turns out she is Lebanne of the Society of Battle Connoisseurs. This is the same group that was bothering the children when we were helping out the Rust Syndicate.
She invites you to dinner at a fancy hotel – Hotel Richissime – as soon as possible, as the leader of the group wants to discuss something with Urbain/Taunie and you. As she leaves, she has a suspiciously threatening tone. This is our main introduction to a new group of people that are fighting to be the best Pokémon trainers in Lumiose City.
New threads, new me
As the meeting is at posh hotel, and the Society of Battle Connoisseurs are used to hosting influential people, Lida and Naveen insist that you pick up some clothes to match the event. Naveen agrees to meet you and Urbain/Taunie at the boutique to help you out. This begins Main Mission 26: An Invitation from the SBC.
Meet Naveen and Urbain/Taunie outside of Boutique Couture on Vernal Avenue, and they will talk about how expensive the clothes are. The designer Asami will come out and tell you that if you beat her in a Pokémon battle, she will deem you worthy of her designs and give you the clothes for free. Her one catch is that she wants to see a Mega Evolved Pokémon when you are battling. Asami has a level 50 Florges so any Poison- or Steel-type move should do the job. If you’re struggling too find a Mega Pokémon to match this battle, we suggest taking the Mawile from Side Mission 077 and using the Mega Stone from your Rogue Mega Battle.
For your win Asami will give you a couture suit that you can wear for your dinner at the Hotel Richissime. Despite fighting for some fancy new threads, Urbain/Taunie decides they are going to go in their usual sweats.
High-class dining
Enter the hotel and follow Lebanne inside. Canari and Gwynn come over to say hello before the leader of the SBC, Lady Jacinthe, enters the room. She explains that she has gathered two of the best trainers from each of the largest groups in Lumiose. Canari and Tarragon of DYN4MO, Ivor and Gwynn of the Fist of Justice, Corbeau and Philippe of the Rust Syndicate and, of course, you and Urbain/Taunie from Team MZ have all been gathered here. Lady Jacinthe explains that she hopes to hold a tournament between all of these strong trainers to decide which of the groups is the strongest. However, just at that moment Vinnie calls with news of more Rogue Mega Evolutions, and Team MZ leaves.
Back at base
You return to the hotel and start the strategy meeting by talking to Lida. This time a Froslass, Altaria and Venusaur are in danger of going Rogue around the city. Lady Jacinthe joins your meeting and begs the two of you to enter her tournament and save the Mega Pokémon for later. However, Urbain/Taunie continue to rebuke her offer and this launches Main Mission 27: A Rogue Mega Froslass, Main Mission 28: A Rogue Mega Altaria, and Main Mission 29: A Rogue Mega Venusaur. Jacinthe finally takes the hint and leaves to take care of her other guests, but it seems likely that she will make us join her tournament eventually. Like with the Rust Syndicate, we can’t complete Main Mission 26 until these Rogue Pokémon are dealt with.
