Sig

Origamiguy there's a new sig policy and you can olnly have text in your sig. Sorry, I had to change mine too(and so did everyone else) --Moisesmorales 22:37, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

See, I got it. Here's the policy:

  • All signatures will be text-only and not exceed 80 characters on-screen when rendered.
  • No line breaks.
  • The font size of the signature will be no larger than the font size of normal text.
  • No signature templates.
  • A link to the user page, at minimum, and a link to the user talk page is recommended.

--Moisesmorales 22:45, 2 April 2008 (UTC)

okay, but userpage edits aren't allowed yet (for me anyhow).OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz
>_> It says 'The font size of the signature will be no larger than the font size of normal text'. I don't think you should use the <big> tags. Tina δ 17:44, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
i'm just making the word "guy" the same size as "origami". OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz
So long as it doesn't stretch the line vertically, there's no problem. <big> tags in normal text are a no-no, <big> tags in tags also stretch it, but from what I can see, it's not causing harm in the tags, so it's fine. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:11, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

I think you don't understand. These here are e-'kipz. You do not have to send me a mudkip on diamond/pearl (i'm running out of PC space anyway), just add a mudkip to the page and sign your name. OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 17:00, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Punctuation

Just so you know, (I had to look it up myself too,) the American Style of Grammar states that "All periods and commas belong inside the quotation marks." MoldyOrange 22:53, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

HOW COULD THE ONE USER THAT STARTED THIS WHOLE ONTROVERSY AND HAS A TEMPLATE SUPPORTING BELIEF BE PART OF THE GNBA???--KukiTalk 19:03, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

-But he's still tied to his word that it does! Remember u can't edit userpages, thus the template still exists on his page! So he's an unofficial non-believer! IT'S NOT OVER!--KukiTalk 19:13, 27 April 2008 (UTC)

Can we have a page which lists which users are currently blocked, and for how long? I just wanna be the first to know when darkraibreeder is unblocked so we can see whether he took an anger management course. OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 14:48, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Welcome

hey.. put {{subst:welcome}} instead of just {{Welcome}} please. MoldyOrange 18:55, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

whats the subst bit for? OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 16:01, 2 May 2008 (UTC)
It substitutes the template for the full coding, so when the new user checks their talk page, they don't get all confused by the lack of actual words there. Also, it lets the welcome template be edited without having to update it on userpages (seeing as its on every user's talk page). -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:59, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

Japanese Pokémon Name Redirects

Only redirect a Pokémon's Japanese name to a species page if that Pokémon does not have a disambiguation page. If a Pokémon has a disambiguation page, the disambig is the correct target for the Japanese name, not the species page. --Shiningpikablu252 14:09, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

If anything in the above comment confused you, here's a little routine you can try: Type in the English name you're seeking. If it's a redirect, create the Japanese name redirect to target the species page. If the English name is a disambig, create the Japanese name redirect to target the disambig.

If the Japanese name is already a disambig, link a new entry as follows:

  • The Japanese name of {{p|<English name>}}

And if the Japanese name links to something else, create a new disambig similar to the one for Thunder. Hopefully this clears things up. --Shiningpikablu252 04:17, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

Don't Do It!

Don't make numbers redirect to particular Pokemon! It's bad and unpractical because it depends on which Pokedex you use. For example, number 001 can belong to Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig or Pichu, depending on Pokedex models. So, please DON'T DO IT. --Maxim 15:30, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

If you were going to make pages for each 'Dex number, I would suggest disambiguation pages leading to each of the corresponding Pokémon... sort of like TM01, etc... -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 21:10, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
006 got deleted cause some1 did that - still sure? OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 09:50, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Just checked the deletion log on that one... the deleted page wasn't a disambiguation page, it was just a plain redirect (like it is now). TTE deleted it because there were too many 6's out there (route 6, ndex 006, hdex 006, etc). I think if someone(s) would be willing to make disambiguation pages for each number, that would be pretty helpful... people might search for dex numbers all the time, but you can't be sure which dex they were aiming for. (normally national dex, but not always.) I think disambiguations would be really helpful. Maybe I can manage something on 001 as a test/example. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 17:49, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Not just Pokédex numbers in the disambig, also EP001, AG001, DP001. Zurqoxn 18:06, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
Grah, that's a lot of links. Still even more reason for disambiguation pages. Porygon-Z just informed me to 151, which is also a theme song in the anime... I made a disambiguation of it, and something like that could do nicely for the rest of the numbers. Let me go expand it for the anime too; there's a few episode 151's, right? -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 18:51, 7 May 2008 (UTC)

Never fear - {{Number Redirects}} is here! I'll do the redirects, i want to help the world of bulbapedia grow, and show that i can do good in this world. thats right - all 493 of them OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 16:31, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

Looks good. And another benefit of the SUBST is if we need to change part of the formatting, we can sic Bulbabot on the whole thing. Don't forget that for the really high numbers, like, 400+, I don't think there are any other episodes or Pokédex numbers that high, so you can simply redirect the page. (and if any of the episodes catch up, we simply edit the redirect page to turn it into a disambig page.) -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 16:42, 8 May 2008 (UTC)

(continued on Current) uhh guys.... theres this girl in my school who ive got a huge crush on, but i dont know how to ask her out. any ideas? --OrigamiGuy-Talk-Contribs-Mudkipz 12:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

Just be straight-forward! (: Thats what i did when i asked out my girlfriend...Then again, we were really good friends before we started going out so yeah...Just don't be nervous, and ask her when you think the time is right? Or just be really nice too her, become good friends with her (if your not already) and show her your a nice person (: Takoto タコト| サソデイ = 愛 19:16, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
As a girl myself, I suggest flirting and kindness. PL12 21:13, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
\You have 2 choices. Be direct about it, or show her you are a nice person, aka hold the door, help her in school work, TALK TO HER, and suchC is for Cookie 21:23, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
