Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

The Preview Button
Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes or leave pages inadvertently broken. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --SnorlaxMonster 06:49, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
- so sorry about that mess, i could've sworn it looked normal when i had previewed it but i must've accidentally made an error while submitting my changes and it caused me to frantically try reverting it. Chaogotchi (talk) 06:55, 14 December 2025 (UTC)
Talk pages
Please don't delete discussions from talk pages, we keep these as a record in case they get brought up again in the future, even if the matter has been dealt with. Hope you understand this, wishing you a Merry Christmas.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 23:04, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
- sorry abt that, i had intended on moving the topic over to a different talkpage that's more fitting Chaogotchi (talk) 23:15, 24 December 2025 (UTC)
Linking
Hey there, just make sure to be careful where you are linking users to. It is prefered that you link them to an article directly, rather than using a redirect. Thank you.--ForceFire 10:35, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- Hi! Could I get some more context or an example of this? Just so I can get a better example of what you mean, cause I don’t understand. Chaogotchi (talk) 17:16, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- Here for example, linking {{g|FireRed & LeafGreen}} leads to the redirect Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen, whereas linking {{2v2|FireRed|LeafGreen}} (or any of the version template variation) leads to the correct Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Versions article. All games from Gens I to V have "Version" in their titles, hence your links omit that and links to a redirect instead (and a side note, paired games use the word "and" in their titles, not an ampersand, so avoid those as well for the same reason).--ForceFire 18:14, 27 December 2025 (UTC)
- Ohhh, I understand now. I hadn't noticed that was redirecting and not a direct link. Thank you for letting me know. Chaogotchi (talk) 18:59, 27 December 2025 (UTC)

- Quick reminder of this message from Force Fire. We don't use
{{g}}for game titles from Generations 1-5. Doing so links to redirects for these games since they are all titled with "version" in their names. Thanks MaverickNate 02:25, 15 January 2026 (UTC)- eugh, apologies. i forgot that it redirects, i'll fix it Chaogotchi (talk) 02:26, 15 January 2026 (UTC)
- I believe I managed to get them all, at least from the recent batch of edits you were doing. But a double check would be worthwhile, I think MaverickNate 02:30, 15 January 2026 (UTC)

Deoxys and Necrozma images
The images on Deoxys and Necrozma's pages take up a lot of space. Wouldn't it be better to just put them in a small gallery section where they're more pleasant to look at? Machampionship (talk) 01:18, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- I can see a case for Deoxys, but for Necrozma, I don't think it works as well. Having all of the forms together at the bottom is confusing due to the small thumbnail size and it looks strange on mobile, as its a huge block of scrolling through images. (images: 1, 2). The way I had it with the thumbnails, it treated every image as a header to start a new section (images: 1, 2) Chaogotchi (talk) 01:25, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- We could just increase the thumbnail size, or alternatively put two images side by side (if it's possible in this wiki). Machampionship (talk) 01:40, 18 January 2026 (UTC)
- Thumbnail size still doesn't fix the mobile issue. I would love if there was a way to have the images either sidebyside or in a tab/slideshow format, but the only method I tried that worked got reverted Chaogotchi (talk) 02:16, 18 January 2026 (UTC)

pokeball galleries
hello! i noticed you recently changed every pokeball's page to use the S/V sprite in the intro section and moved the global link art to the gallery, then undid the changes to the intro section. i would like to remind you to fix the galleries, since the global link art is now on most of these pages twice while the S/V sprite is nowhere to be seen. (personally, i'd rather the S/V sprite be used as the "main" image for items, since the dream world art is a little outdated at this point, but either way these pages need to consistent one way or the other) lilycove 19:01, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
- hi! the reason why i did that is because there was discussions on changing the infobox itself to default to S/V art. i'm still waiting on an update about that though Chaogotchi (talk) 22:11, 24 April 2026 (UTC)
Species intro changes
Can you help me find where these changes were discussed? Landfish7 05:34, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- it wasn't something discussed prior, but I noticed some of them already had it present, while others didn't, and so I went back and made it consistent across all articles of Pokémon with regional forms, both with each other and how other forms are listed on the site.
- On our site, we use form names where the Pokemon name is included for Gigantamax Pokémon. I'll use Meowth as an example.
- In official references, whenever Pokemon names are omitted, "Alolan Form" and "Gigantamax" are used as the form names.
- When Pokemon names are included, "Alolan Meowth" and "Gigantamax Meowth" are the form names used together.
- I wanted to mirror this for our articles since we present our names in a similar way, and since we refer to their evolution or original counterparts as "Kantonian Meowth" or "Alolan Persian" in the same portion of the article. Chaogotchi (talk) 07:10, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
- If there's a discrepancy between several articles, that's probably a good indication that there should be some sort of discussion, rather than forcing consistency one way or the other.
- That said, I do see your point here (though I never did like how we format the Gigantamax line either). I wish there was a way we could avoid the bolded links, in any case. Landfish7 07:47, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
