Card list updates

Hi there! Thank you for your recent contributions to TCG pages. I wanted to let you know that your most recent update to Mega Evolution (TCG) was reverted; although it is realistically very likely that Mega Absol ex and Mega Mawile ex will be in the set, we don't have any confirmation of that, so we would consider their inclusion in the card list to be speculation at this point. Speculation is something we need to avoid, as it's important to remain factual. (I should note that, although Mega Kangaskhan ex is in the same list, its appearance in the set is confirmed via its appearance on a booster pack.)

I also wanted to share a couple of handy formatting tips. Firstly, with card lists, we list each card on a separate line of code, to keep things clean and readable for other editors. Additionally, if a parameter is empty (such as a card number), this can be circumvented by adding an extra pipe, rather than numbering the parameters - so, instead of writing {{setlist/entry|2=I... at the beginning of the code, you can write {{setlist/entry||I... instead. This also makes it easier to insert the card number once it's confirmed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out, and thank you again for your contributions! Hi Cipher, it's been a distinct privilege being part of the team keeping Bulbapedia up to date! I've been using the site for a number of years now to help with me and my friends collection, and after some time I wanted to try and help with the upkeep! I realised after I had made the change that it was primarily speculation but was away from my computer when the realisation hit, thank you for amending it in my stead! As for the general editing side of things, up until this very message, I had only edited using the visual mode, initially I failed to understand your advice, but after altering the view to source mode I completely understand what you mean, appreciate the helpful advice! Ahh, it never occurred to me that you were editing with the visual mode - that explains it! I've never used it myself, so I genuinely had no idea. If that's the case, and if your preference is to edit in visual mode, then by all means, please continue to do so - whatever makes editing work for you. It's great to hear your enthusiasm too - if you need anything at all, don't hesitate to get in touch. Thanks! Cipher (talk) 09:00, 12 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

Phantasmal Flames

While we know this is the next main expansion, it's not known via acceptable sources. The e-mail sent to leagues preparing for Prerelease tournaments read CONFIDENTIAL: DO NOT SHARE, and we try to respect that. We don't acknowledge it until there is a reputable, official-adjacent source posting about it in a non-confidential way (not PokeBeach, that website is known to insert misinformation into their news stories to see how far it spreads). I'm confident it will be revealed at the closing ceremony, so we can add it then.

This is generally what happens every Prerelease, and this is generally the stance we take in this situation. Let me know if you have any questions. MaverickNate 01:53, 18 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Links to English releases of cards

since this is an English website, please make sure to move the Japanese cards to their English links and not create redirects to the Japanese versions.
(eg. Vulpix (Mega Brave 10) ==> move to Vulpix (Mega Evolution 19).

to move a page, simply click the move button on the top of the page, and then enter the new title you want the page to be moved to. thanks anZAsquiddles 2222(:D)SSSS (talk) 14:02, 2 September 2025 (UTC)Reply
