The New Year 2025 event was held between December 30, 2024 and ran over two weeks through to January 13, 2025. The various event bonuses were available on all islands, with temporary spawns available on Greengrass Isle. This was the first event to feature an Event Exchange not linked to a Legendary Pokémon with the currency being Dream Coins.

Event Bonuses
There were a variety of event bonuses available over the course of the two weeks, during the entire event though Pokémon of different sleep types will appear regardless of the researchers sleep type.
During the first week (December 30-January 5), researcher's received 1.5× the normal Candies after their first sleep research of the day, helper Pokémon had a 1.25× chance of their main skill triggering and their main skill level was boosted by 1. Furthermore, on January 1, Drowsy Power was given a 3× multiplier and on January 2-3, it was given a 1.5× multiplayer
During the second week (January 6-12), 1.5× the number of Dream Shards were received from sleep research and final strength gains from dishes were multiplied by 1.5× (2.5× if Extra Tasty on Monday to Saturday, 3.75× if Extra Tasty on Sunday). The Candy Cram-o-matic was also available during this week.
Pokémon bonuses
Increased encounter chance
Researchers had a slightly greater chance to encounter certain Pokémon depending on where they were and which week of the event it was. During Week 1, Dratini, Ralts and Stufful could be found on Greengrass Isle, and spawns were boosted for all Pokémon released during the first half of 2024, excluding Raikou and Entei. During Week 2, Aron, Shinx and Grubbin could be found on Greengrass Isle, with spawns boosted for all Pokémon released between July through to the beginning of December, this excluded Suicune, the new Pikachu (Halloween) and Eevee (Holiday) costumes, as well those released during the Holiday event held the week before.
