Chalce's Medicham (Japanese: アゲートのチャーレム Agate's Charem) is the first Pokémon Chalce was known to have.

History

Pre-series

Medicham has been with Chalce since her days as a teacher in her poverty-struck hometown, and was present when Hamber arrived to invite her to join the Explorers in exchange for helping her set up the school she desired to allow the children of her hometown to have a chance at a better future.

Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Medicham and Chalce

Medicham debuted in As Long as I'm with My Friends, quietly meditating as Chalce and Sidian sat quietly. It expertly avoided direct contact with Coral's Glalie when the former was whining about her boredom.

In The Plan to Capture Rayquaza, Medicham helped oversee the operation to summon the Black Rayquaza at a lighthouse near Levincia. When the Legendary Pokémon arrived, Medicham, Coral's Glalie, and Sidian's Garganacl joined forces to damage it with their combined attacks. When Chalce tried to catch Rayquaza with an Ultra Ball, Roy's Wattrel knock the Ball away with Spark, but Medicham managed to knock the Storm Petrel Pokémon out of the sky with Psybeam. When Dot arrived to deactivate the generator that was luring in Rayquaza, Medicham battled Quaxly and Tinkatink, but this was merely a distraction to allow Dot to deactivate the generator. When Rayquaza unleashed a Draco Meteor, Medicham tried to stop it with Zen Headbutt, but was efortlessly knocked down by the move.

In The Approaching Shadow!, Medicham used its psychic powers in order to move a large rock, causing Liko to get separated from Dot and Roy whilst on Glaseado Mountain, as part of Spinel's plans. In Infiltrating the System! Naranja Academy in Danger!, Medicham was used to battle and stall Dot and her Quaxwell to prevent them from interfering with Chalce's data stealing plans. After Chalce acquired the data regarding Terapagos, she recalled Medicham and escaped with via her Xatu's Teleport.

In The Rising Volt Tacklers vs. The Explorers!, Medicham was used to battle against Dot's Quaxwell once again. Despite having the advantage for most of the battle, thanks to Dot's unpredictable tactics, Quaxwell was able to gain the upper hand in the battle.

In The Six Heroes Unleashed!, Chalce used Medicham in a battle against Dot where it went up against her newly evolved Tinkaton. Medicham was eventually defeated when Tinkaton learnt Gigaton Hammer.

In HZ130, Medicham teamed up with Coral's Glalie and Sidian's Garganacl against Hamber's Dusknoir and Mow Rotom. Despite being badly hurt, it managed to use clever tactics to defeat Dusknoir and Rotom after undergoing the effects of the Strong Sphere. Chalce then Mega Evolved Medicham, giving it the necessary power boost to defeat Hamber's Bloodmoon Ursaluna with Axe Kick, though was heavily exhausted by the combined use of Laquium and Mega Evolution, after which Chalce recalled it back into its Poké Ball.

In HZ133, Medicham Mega Evolved to battle alongside Coral's Glalie and Sidian's Aerodactyl, both of which also underwent Mega Evolution, facing off against Roy's Lucario, Ult's Sableye, and Friede's Starmie, all of whom likewise underwent Mega Evolution. Medicham focused on fighting Lucario while Glalie and Aerodactyl focused on battling Starmie and Sableye.

Personality and characteristics

Much like its Trainer, Medicham shares a calm and reserved personality, rarely letting anything bother it. This was seen in As Long as I'm with My Friends, where Medicham only avoided direct contact with Coral's Glalie and paid little to no attention to their antics. It is also completely loyal towards Chalce and their mission as part of the Explorers, letting Chalce know about Black Rayquaza's arrival.
