Raichu first appeared as a Pikachu in Speeding! Paldea's Prince of Speed!!, where she was used in the demonstration battle for Uva Academy's Treasure Hunt against Nemona's Pawmo. After proving to be equally matched, Nemona Terastalized Pawmo into an Electric type, with Scarlet Terastalizing Pikachu into a Flying type. The battle was then interrupted by Violet.
In Ruin! The Client, Raifort!!, Pikachu was taught Dig in preparation for Iono's Terastalized Pokémon. When sent out, though, Iono revealed her Mismagius had Levitate to ignore moves like Dig. Pikachu was recalled and only came out after Armarouge and Sprigatito were defeated. Pikachu was able to avoid Mismagius's attacks and lower its guard with Play Nice. Pikachu then used Thief to land a sucker punch and knock it out, winning Scarlet the match.
In PASV33, Pikachu joined the rest of Scarlet's team in the Star Barrage against Team Star's Caph Squad's Base. Sometime during the barrage, Pikachu evolved into Raichu.
Personality and characteristics
Raichu is strong, dependable, and willing to rely on sneaky tactics to win. She is highly capable in battle, easily defeating a Gym Leader's ace Pokémon and keeping pace with a Pokémon belonging to Nemona, a Champion-ranked Trainer.
