There is an object known as a Daruma doll. Hihidaruma bears a resemblance to those dolls, even more so when in Daruma Mode. --Darkeiya talk to me! 21:05, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

Breeding

Just wondering, can you make more Darmanitan with this ability by breeding one that has zen mode and having it's offspring inherit it? Or would it just hatch a regular Damanitan?--Spongeenthusiast 22:47, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Yes, breeding a female with Daruma Mode results in a 50% chance of Darumakka being born with its hidden ability, which will change to Daruma Mode when it evolves. XVuvuzela2010X 23:15, 3 August 2011 (UTC)

Exactly half health

No ability

Is Zen Darmanitan the only Pokemon that doesn't have first or second ability despite having hidden ability? What if it was hacked to not have Hidden Ability? Would it keep Zen Mode? Rocket Grunt 22:21, 16 February 2026 (UTC)

According to @minibug in the Discord server, it's still coded as having the same Abilities when it changes forms. So Zen Mode Darmanitan still has a first/second Ability internally, it just can't actually "access" it in that form. Landfish7 15:40, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
