Uruto's Sableye

Why Uruto's Sableye doesn't have a main article page? Esquilo35 (talk) 15:35, 24 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

Because it hasn't done anything but battle. It's better to keep the info here rather than have people come to a separate page that has nothing to say. Landfish7 15:49, 24 August 2025 (UTC)Reply

There is a page for Uruto's Sableye being built, at the moment, the best way is to help set it up, but if possible include the content in the Uruto's page section as well. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 16:17, 24 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
To clarify, please prioritize adding content to the mainspace first. Content should not be locked behind a namespace that is not as accessible to readers. Landfish7 22:55, 24 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, I was busy over the summer to finish this. But the fact is that this Pokémon has actually appeared enough times that this article could be moved to the mainspace, I have nothing against it. Modesty Elyon (talk) 07:29, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Well, just because we could make it a separate page doesn't mean it makes sense to do so. I'd rather keep the information all in one place as much as possible, only splitting off if it becomes so much that it needs its own space or it becomes clear that the Pokémon is an important enough character in its own right. Landfish7 10:59, 25 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
We have a page for Harrison's Houndoom. Why can't we have a page for Uruto's Sableye, which is way more significant? IcySealeo 09:46, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
As mentioned earlier, the current draft for Ult's Sableye is mostly repeating information from the box on Ult's main page. If you would like to work on the draft to make sure that it has enough non-repeated information to stand on it's own, the draft can then be re-evaluated for the mainspace. → SuperPikaPool13 10:07, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
That is not an answer to my question. Harrison's Houndoom has no information that can not fit to a box on Harrison's main page. And that is just one example. Why Harrison's Houndoom has a page and Ult's Sableye (as well as Sidian's Garganacl, but that's not what discussed here) doesn't? IcySealeo 16:01, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I definitely feel that Ult's Sableye deserves its own page as Ult is as much a main character as Liko, Roy and Dot at this point, perhaps we should continue work on the userpage and when Horizons comes to an end, we can decide if it is worthy of its own page.--BigDocFan, Junior Admin Bulbapedia (talk) 16:04, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
There have been a lot of pages for Pokémon from older/early episodes that are very much just the same as the box on the trainer's page with just an infobox added. However, we are trying to improve the criteria for Pokemon pages to be created/split from the trainer's article from now on to ensure that it is more useful for readers to find the relevant information for a particular Pokemon all in one place. To put it simply: an article created in 2011 when the criteria was not fully decided upon should not be the only argument for splitting off an Pokemon into a separate article without enough info. (For the record, I agree that Ult's Sabeleye should have it's own page, but the current draft still needs more work before it's viable). → SuperPikaPool13 16:42, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also worth reiterating that the info should be added to Sableye's section on Ult's page in the mainspace first and foremost as that's where readers are more likely to see it. Thespeon (talk) 17:01, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

(resetting indent)From the notability requirements: For rival characters and other recurring characters, only their signature Pokémon may have an article created about them. An exception may be made if another Pokémon that is not the signature has had an impact on the series. I would say Sableye counts as Roy's signature Pokémon in addition to Roy being a rival/recurring character.--ForceFire (talk) 19:21, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

It'll be fine to start a split discussion about it when enough good information is added. It's just that we're trying to move away from automatically giving pages to Pokémon of supporting characters, instead making sure that the article would be of sufficient quality to be good to read on its own before making the split. Thespeon (talk) 22:32, 2 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
I think everyone agrees that we can't use Ashanime's rules with Horizons. And this will probably become more frequent as new productions emerge. Horizons is an ongoing story, with little room for filler and is more similar to other anime works (or even the Adventures manga) than the classic "episode of the week" format that the previous anime had. In fact, the anime in the Ash era never had a character like Dot or Ult, even though they tried. That's already a huge change. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:13, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
You don't have to go all the way back to 2011. Murdock's Alcremie and Mollie's Chansey could be easily reduce to a box on their trainer's page.
Just like Coral's Glalie box had massive information cut just to keep it in box (claimer: I think it deserves its own page).
In my opinio, Sableye has way more info and important role than Alcremie, Chansey or Lycanrock. IcySealeo 19:40, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
So how come Murdock's Alcremie got a dedicate page while Sableye or Dragonite didn't? IcySealeo 19:40, 3 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Murdock's Lycanroc and Mollie's Chansey's pages were created before our newer approach to character and Trainers' Pokémon pages. Nowadays the process for their creation would be different.
Coral's Glalie section was rewritten to remove information that was repeating the plot sections and the battles it was involved in rather than being interesting info to read about Glalie itself, and I think that Ult's Sableye right now would be in a similar situation of not having a lot of non-battle information. Maybe it could be updated though, Ult's Pokémon section hasn't been edited in a while. Thespeon (talk) 00:31, 4 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Let's agree that you yourself already stated the reason for not including much information about the Ult's Pokémon in the infobox. From the moment you had to reduce the content of Glalie's infobox, it's already a sign that we can't include all the necessary information. Infobox is perfect for Pokémon that haven't had a huge focus, like Sidian's Aerodactyl, but when the Pokémon starts appearing more frequently, it doesn't help much. It was actually something that happened with Leon's Charizard in Journeys. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:36, 5 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
Murdock's Alcremie earned her own page after an episode focused almost entirely on her and the relationship between Murdock and Mitchell. I agree that all these Pokémon have the right to their respective pages, but I don't agree with the approach of invalidating one page to the detriment of others. Hikaru Wazana (talk) 01:26, 5 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

At this point in the series Ult's Sableye has more of a personality outside of battle, with some actual substance for a page. I think it's more deserving than other Pokémon that have them like Mollie's Chansey or Murdock's Alcremie. - unsigned comment from Gboy10 (talkcontribs) 01:35, 16 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

When was his English name confirmed to be Ult?

Where was his English name confirmed to be Ult? Kathylikestoread (talk) 07:09, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

In the announcement, press release, social media posts, and trailer description. → SuperPikaPool13 07:15, 15 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

Ult's age

Did Ult age during the one year time skip or not? Just wondering if that happened since he was portrayed the same when Roy first met him to how he is now. If he did, is it worth mentioning or not? --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 17:40, 9 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

gender

Ult refers to it as male in the dub of 113. "he's my partner pokemon, so yeah of course I do."Roserade57 (talk) 01:05, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

I've listened to it a few times, and checked the iPlayer subs, and they all say "It's my partner Pokémon", so I don't think there's any confirmation here.
Also, this should really be a topic on Ult's page, as Ult's Sableye doesn't have a separate page, so I'll copy it over Thespeon (talk) 01:22, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
