Can I add Canada's broadcast date? 373094474Porygon-Z025441130 02:15, 22 January 2008 (UTC)

Well that depends... Where else does it air?PokeManiac102 02:17, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
What do you mean? Like, other countries or channels?? 373094474Porygon-Z025441130 23:53, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes. We might as well display them all.PokeManiac102 23:55, 22 January 2008 (UTC)
That would make the table far too wide. The two countries of origin are what really matters. --FabuVinny T-C-S 01:04, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
But isn't this basically a Encyclopaediae Pokémonis for the English language and North America. We speak English and we're in North America. How does one country's air date matter more than anothers? 373094474Porygon-Z025441130 14:32, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
We do Canada, then we do Australia and the UK, too. And might as well just add the airdate across Europe, and every day it was rerun in every place... It's not that one country's date matters more, it's just that... argh, the American airdate is the first release of the dubbed version. If Canada were the first to air it, it'd be theirs. But it's not. Notice how we never list the dates that Pokémon gets rerun in Japan. Essentially this is the same: the other English versions are, pretty much, reruns. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 16:52, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
They're not reruns in that country though....373094474Porygon-Z025441130 18:21, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Still the same English version. TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 22:39, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Is the Ranger special not airing in the US? Happizelpom 14:51, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

Are you talking about the one for the first Ranger game or the second?
If you're talking about the first, that one's already aired in America. It aired around the time of the release of the first Ranger game, and was bumped up to around the time of the game's release (since the dub was originally on pace to air the first Ranger special quite awhile after the first Ranger's release).
If you're talking about the second, no, not at this present time. I'm pretty certain that they're putting this special off until around the release of the game. This time around, the dub was on pace to air the special before the game's release, so the dub skipped around from DP070 to DP073 to put the special off for a later date. --Shiningpikablu252 15:00, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

I didnt know they had a special for the first ranger game in the Diamond in Pearl series? Happizelpom 16:12, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Happizelpom

I guess Riley would appear as a Ranger without giving Ash an egg to promote Batonnage!-Billy4b2004 14:57, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Riley as a Ranger? You're kidding right? I know Riolu will be in it, but I think the Main Character from the 2nd game will show up and not Riley... Ej92 15:04, 14 February 2008 (UTC)
Sigh. You know there are other people with Riolu. If Maylene has a Lucario... agh. QUIT TREATING IT AS IF IT'S SOME SUPER-LEGENDARY. What, is JIGGLYPUFF now something special because of SSB? TTEchidnaFire echyGSDS! 04:16, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
While many people believe Ash is destined to recieve that Riolu egg, this isn't the right time or place to do so. The right place is around Iron Island, and the right time is around when Ash goes for Byron's badge in Canalave. Given that we've just finished up Maylene, that's quite awhile off. Odds are the next two big changes for Ash's party will be Buizel evolving and Turtwig leaving (mainly due to Chimchar being Ash's signature fourth-generation starter), probably on each side of the Crasher Wake battle. --Shiningpikablu252 04:22, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Promote Batonnage=Either spinoff episode or Hajime/his girlfriend will appear. That's the pattern. 493OptimatumTalk|13:20 14 Mar 2008

I just realized sumthing

By the time that Japan gets to Gligar's probable evolution in DP085, the U.S. will be watching the dubbed version of her capture, just in time!--KukiTalk 20:19, 9 June 2008 (UTC)

Not quite. The evolution is on Thursday and the capture is on Saturday. Not that it really matters. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 12:15, 29 June 2008 (UTC)

An Idea

Do you think it would be a good idea to post links on an episode page that let the user see the actual episode in English or Japanese? (If they've aired, and have links, in parts of course.) Shiny Pachirisu :) 01:44, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Thats a great idea. If youtube or another site has an episode of Pokémon we should link it. I watch every episode in Japanese that way so it would be easyer to find. Rucario64 02:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)

No, that's illegal.

----HoennMaster 06:05, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Huh?!?!? How? I didn't know that...♪♪Shiny Pachirisu :) ♪♪ 20:59, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
We really should look into this more i think. Because I would gladly update every page myself. Rucario64 12:54, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
No, really. Uploading full episodes amounts to copyright infringement and even linking to such videos is rather risky. Not to mention that YouTube regularly deletes such videos anyway so any links there could become void at any time. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:45, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

I'm starting to get confused and losing track, which episodes had details in the magazine?

----HoennMaster 04:49, 23 September 2008 (UTC)

The episodes that aired in Japan after the magazine mentioned some of their events were: DP079, DP082, DP084, DP086, DP099. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 20:57, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

So has revealed the titles. Do we wait for Bulbanews to issue them, or can we put them on? Satosuke 14:33, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Those might be fake. Not only they are revealed too early on, they are also suspiciously short and it's also suspicious there are no fillers between Hearthome and Canalave. As long as there is no official confirmation, those are fake. --Maxim 14:36, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Plus, um, Serebii? If another source, you know, a Japanese one, showed them off, it'd be something, but these are just about as revealed as the titles of the episodes from the magazine. TTEchidna 14:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
That's what I thought - that's why I didn't go ahead and post them onto the list. But Serebii's generally approximately right with the names - the general concept is correct, but the wording is always changed to English names and the translation is often different than Bulbanew's translation. But it's an interesting twist of names for the episodes. And Maxim, while may be considered an unreliable source, but it will rarely ever release fake information. I was a bit curious about the fact that there's no filler between the return to Hearthome and the arrival at Canalave though. And I thought that Jun (or Pearl) was replaced with Kengo/Kenny. But whatever. We'll get the true/full story soon. Satosuke 17:07, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

EDIT: Looks like Serebii was right. Touché. Satosuke 17:07, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

As long as it's not just Serebii putting it up, and he got it from Pokeani, it's fine. Anyway, I'm intrigued... first Turtwig's gonna evolve, then Pearl appears? I wonder what the dub'll call him... TTEchidna 17:49, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, this is just another sign that the anime has become unpredictable, which is a good thing. Satosuke 21:09, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
Satosuke, while Serebii doesn't usually post fake information, his site is a secondary source so the reliability of the info depends on where he got it from. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 21:46, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I know this, that's why I didn't post it on the list, but brought it up here. I feel that the way I proposed the concept of putting up the information from Serebii up was a bit, well, made me look like I didn't understand that isn't a primary source. What I really implied was that Bulbanews wasn't posting it up this morning when Serebii did, and that someone should look into the primary sources, such as Pokeani, and post it up on the DP list as soon as possible. Which, obviously, Trainer-c, or one of his/her associates, did; and another user soon followed by posting it up on the DP episodes list. I'm sorry if I came off looking like I didn't understand Serebii's role as only a secondary source. If you look at the Aaron episode discussion, I have stated that we can't post up information from that Australian magazine because it's a secondary source, even if it arrives long before the actual information is released (such as the Mikli Cup, as it called it). So I do understand the difference between Primary and Secondary sources. I just wanted to get the move on with the episode list, as no one had edited it, and it had been hours since Serebii posted the new episodes, so obviously there was a primary source somewhere out there that SPP got it from. Satosuke 04:20, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

What should we do with this episode?-Billy4b2004 09:32, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Wait for official confirmation. A minor voice actor's blog can't be considered a reliable source by any stretch of the information. --Shiningpikablu252 15:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
What about the script? I think he knows what episode he is voicing. --FabuVinny |Talk Page| 16:38, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Can we include a translation of the Japanese titles?

I find it silly that we have the English title, the kanji for the Japanese title, but no translation of the Japanese. Is there a way to include both the Kanji and translation of the Japanese episode titles? I would be appreciative and be willing to help if there is someway to get them done quickly (like a team effort or some sort of code). Thanks for any answers. DP 117

I don't believe it one bit. You know that I trust Pokéani no more then I can can throw a 10-ton elephant, but the title and the fact that it was a magizine scan just makes me suspicious.(Kmanecke 19:11, 6 February 2009 (UTC))

The magazines Pokéani uses when reporting new episode announcements are well-known anime magazines, which are (usually) highly accurate and thus reliable sources. It's true Pokéani is a fansite with some untrustable material (attempts to use Pokéani as proof of confirmed gender for May's Pokémon have been quashed a few times in the past due to unreliability), but episode announcements aren't among the untrustable material since they use sources we consider reliable. (Yes, Pokéani's given us a few fake titles in the past, but they've corrected themselves every time.) --Shiningpikablu252 20:06, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

As I pointed out two sections up, Pokéani uses well-known anime magazines when they post new episode announcements. And I'm certain there's at least two of them. DP98 - DP100 dub titles?

The MSN listing that revealed "Losing Its Lustrous" has actualized with new episodes [1], should we add them? --Nick., something to say? 16:02, 28 February 2009 (UTC)

Time between

Why is the "Time between" saying something like "135.041666667 days"? --Lance123 15:07, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

That's odd. Very odd. Must be a glitch, because it goes away when I hit edit. Don't worry about it, it should clear itself when the cache does. TTEchidna 16:02, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Capitalization of Titles

How should words in episode titles be capitalized? For example, should the word 'for' be capitalized? In the list, it's not capitalized for Different Strokes for Different Blokes, but it is for Tears For Fears! (the latter being consistent with how it's displayed in the episode). Also, I have found that capitalization isn't even consistent in the show, like for the word 'of' in A Secret Sphere Of Influence! and Sleight of Sand!.

PJPoon 03:36, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I think we should use what they have. After all, they create the dub titles to begin with, so whatever they have is what we should go with.

Vhayes1992 19:21, 18 June 2009 (UTC)
