Talk:Full Art card (TCG)
About the improvement of the cardlist...
I want to be sure about this so I decided to ask first. I would like to know if the editing needed for the cardlist is a table like the one in the Pokémon-EX page and others. I think the Pokémon column of the original table is unnecessary. To give an example:
| Full Art cards Cards listed with a blue background are only legal to use in the current Expanded format. Cards listed with a green background are legal to use in both the current Standard and Expanded formats. | |||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Card | Type | English Expansion |
Rarity | # | Japanese Expansion |
Rarity | # |
| Reshiram | Black & White | 113/114 | Black Collection | 055/053 | |||
| Shiny Collection | 022/020 | ||||||
I put the TCG ID of the original card (in this case, the normal print from Black & White), and there's two set entries for it, since there are 2 different full art versions of the card.
So, is this OK? Can I change the current table to something like this? Metalizard (talk) 11:47, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
- That's exactly what we need for this article. Thank you in advance. |) u |( e ® 12:09, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Continued ways to categorize
This page really needs expansion. I’m also thinking about having a tab that shows how many full arts each character has gotten. Vinnylospo (talk) 14:42, 20 July 2025 (UTC)
I think we should add full art prints per character
I think it would show what characters have the most or least. Vinnylospo (talk) 07:08, 13 August 2025 (UTC)
- It's an interesting idea, though my concern is they'd have to be counted manually, and that could lead to errors - especially where there's ambiguity (such as in rare cases when a full-art card gets reprinted in the same region). We'd need some way of verifying the data to make them really worthwhile. Smaller lists might be fine, and to be honest, I'm not sure if there's any value in having the current lists anymore; over the last few years, the number of full-art cards in the TCG has absolutely skyrocketed, and by my very rough calculations, there are currently over 1,500 full-art cards in English alone. Having such a massive list on this page, and keeping it updated with each new release in every region, sounds like a nightmare to me and I'm just not sure how much value it's going to provide in the future. Splitting the article
Since I've added the TCG Pocket full art cards and completed the Scarlet & Violet series list, I now get the "too many templates used" warning and so I think it's time to split the article per TCG series. 𝐍𝐚𝐌𝐫𝐨𝐳 ►Talk 11:54, 10 November 2025 (UTC)
- Lists like this are intended to use
{{Trainerlistbody}}like the Item card page does. Those list templates are designed to handle 10,000 entries, so it wouldn't be breaking at 20%-25% capacity like it is now. The ideal step would be to convert it over. MaverickNate 06:02, 16 June 2026 (UTC)
