Riolu's gender

When was it confirmed to be male? On the night of the airing, I saw it mentioned somewhere that it got confirmed because Emboar's Attract failed. But... Emboar never used Attract on Riolu. I can't seem to find what article it was mentioned in (probably removed for inaccuracy), but was there something else I missed that confirmed Riolu's gender besides the game tournament? --ケンジガール 09:19, 2 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

... Riolu's gender is not known. And I don't think I have missed any of Riolu's appearances. AdynizWanna talk? 09:50, 2 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Looks like he guessed the gender for no reason. PattyMan 13:13, 2 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
So, shouldn't we remove the gender then? GamerGeek 00:38, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
It was removed. He put it back because of the event. Ataro (talk) 00:47, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
What event? GamerGeek 01:25, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Look at the In the games section. Ataro (talk) 01:28, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
The game Kotetsu has a Lucario, not a Riolu, so the event isn't completely accurate (unless Riolu were to evolve in the anime). GamerGeek 01:35, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
It's going to. See how Stephan has Liepard despite him not revealing it yet? Ataro (talk) 01:38, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well, it's possible that a Lucario belongs to another trainer competing in the League, and the game designers could've overlooked that. GamerGeek 01:52, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Well, Riolu's gender has been removed, and it's staying unconfirmed (though I was going to suggest a sort of "compromise" in saying that it's confirmed male only in the games, if Lucario really is its game counterpart). GamerGeek 07:38, 4 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kotetsu's Riolu

I know it is set to reappear in BW107 and I say it can deserve its own page, I don't know... What do you think Kotetsu's Riolu--Igor (talk) 20:26, 3 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

So, we belive that it is going to happen in January, but, will anybody consider my page tomorrow? Or have someone made one for Riolu before I did?--Igor (talk) 02:08, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
I repeat: ask Kenji-girl. She's the one who approves this stuff and there's no point in asking in a place where she might not even see. Ataro (talk) 02:38, 20 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Kotetsu's Riolu Potential Evolution in BW108?

Hey. I was looking at BW108. It listed a Lucario as one of the pokemon in the episode. Could that mean that Riolu evolves at some point during the Conference? Shouldn't Kotetsu's page be protected until BW108? --Pokemon26 (talk) 18:10, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it's confirmed that Riolu will evolve in BW108 against Ash. I guess a semi-protection will be enough.--Den Zen 18:22, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

No it will BW107, we have it see in the calender from december. --Altruis でんき 21:20, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

This is the summary of BW108: "The Isshu League fiercely continues into the fourth round. Ash and Kotetsu's battle continues to become even more extreme. Kotetsu's partner Riolu then evolves into the Wave Pokemon Lucario. With all of its moves powered up plus learning a new move, Satoshi and Tsutarja are both cornered..."--Den Zen 22:10, 8 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Do you have a source for that summary? It could very well be another trainer's Lucario battling Ash, or a case similar to this, where Riolu is battling it himself. GamerGeek 03:15, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
The calender does feature a Pokémon appearing in the first episode of the following month, along with the respective month. Like in the case of Pignite, which appeared in the April edition of the calender but the episode aired on May 3rd. Also, the source. AdynizWanna talk? 04:49, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Sorry, I don't know Japanese. :-/ GamerGeek 18:59, 10 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Adding Swanna to Kotetsu's Pokemon Party

The preview for the next episode show's Ash going up against a Swanna, so I figured that Pokemon should be added to his current party. - unsigned comment from Firered16 (talkcontribs)

While that may be true, Bulbapedia does not add information on events in upcoming episodes before they air. --Abcboy (talk) 04:50, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Notable trivia?

Is it notable trivia that alongside Stephan and Trip, Cameron is only one of Ash's rivals to appear in the games? WATERWARRIOR67 (talk) 14:34, 25 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cameron's starter: Riolu, Lucario, or Samurott?

In the anime, Cameron is first seen with his Riolu, who later evolves into Lucario. However, in the game and the anime, Cameron is seen with a Samurott. Is it possible that Samurott could've been his starter? Or is there no evidence whatsoever, and it's assumed that Cameron started/starts with Riolu? WATERWarrior67 17:59, 9 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

There's no evidence for either, so nothing is assumed. That's why it says "first seen with" and not "starter". glikglak 18:09, 9 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
Oh. That makes sense. Thanks. WATERWarrior67 17:26, 10 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

english name origin

where it says name origin for cameron it doesnt say where his english name came from. it says his japanese name comes from metal/steel but for some reason its missing his english name origin...does the name cameron have some kinda tie to steel like his japanese name or did the creators just assign him a common western name for the english dub Robloxninjawarrior (talk) 20:07, 19 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

"Cameron" sounds like a combination of "camera" and "iron". The camera thing is probably just a coincidence, since his character has nothing to do with cameras and none of his names in other languages do either, but the iron part would parallel his other language names.
