There has been some discussion in the past as to what constitutes notability. I personally believe that the main Pokémon of a gym leader/E4/frontier brain should only get an article if they did more than simply battle. I believe that these are the rules for notability, I have seen various discussions going on about this lately and I would like to clarify what the real rules are:

Ash, Misty, Brock, Tracey, May, Max, Dawn. If they catch something, it's notable.

Any real Pokémon, Move, Glitch Pokémon, Ability, Location, Song, Episode, COD, Manga, Game, recurring character or Special Chapter is automatically notable.

The userspace is notable (as is the User talk space)

Templates are all notable if they relate to pokémon.

Each Gym Leader, Elite Four, Frontier Brain or Rival gets a page on their most notable Pokémon (that means: Brock (Onix), Misty (Psyduck), Lt.
