Stakeout (Japanese: はりこみ Stakeout) is an Ability introduced in Generation VII. Prior to Generation VIII, it was the signature Ability of Yungoos and Gumshoos.
Effect
| This move effect may be in need of research. Reason: Does Stakeout deal extra damage to targets that enter the battlefield as a result of U-turn, Flip Turn, or Volt Switch in 8 and 9? You can discuss this on the talk page. |
In battle
Stakeout doubles the power of moves used against targets that have switched in during this turn (including both manually switching in and switching in due to effects such as Volt Switch, Emergency Exit, or Eject Button). It does not trigger when used against targets that were switched in at the end of the previous turn, or that were sent out at the start of the battle.
Outside of battle
Stakeout has no effect outside of battle.
