::It's happened to me once, several years ago. It just says something like "MAKUHITA attacked WES instead!". I don't recall the exact wording, but the Pokémon I THINK does its attacking animation, then Wes just slides back a bit, like when you first battle the Shadow Makuhita, it attacks Wes, then Rui says to be careful, as it's not afraid to attack people. I gotta play Colosseum again... <small>- unsigned comment from Missingno. Master ([[User talk:Missingno. :It is the same thing as wasting a turn, essentially. The Pokémon attacks a trainer, and then it just moves right onto the next thing with no other dialogue or effects.ScottOshawott (talk) 08:12, 5 January 2019 (UTC) | |||

So I don't have the coding expertise to be able to say for certain, but from observation alone, it seems like the longer a Pokémon stays in Hyper Mode, the more likely it is to ignore orders and do whatever it wants. Is anyone able to verify this through actual data? Eskay64 | So I don't have the coding expertise to be able to say for certain, but from observation alone, it seems like the longer a Pokémon stays in Hyper Mode, the more likely it is to ignore orders and do whatever it wants.
