Release information
This card was included in the Scarlet & Violet expansion, first released in the Japanese ex Starter Set Sprigatito & Lucario ex and Quaxly & Mimikyu ex. This print features Nemona in her Naranja Academy uniform. Another print was included in the Japanese ex Starter Set Fuecoco & Ampharos ex and ex Starter Set Pikachu ex & Pawmot, which features Nemona in her Uva Academy uniform. The Uva Academy print was also released as one of the SV-P Promotional cards and was available in the Energy Card Set from January 20, 2023.
The two artworks were later released again in Japan as SV-P Promos, numbered 046/SV-P (Naranja Academy) and 047/SV-P (Uva Academy), and were given away as participation prizes for Triplet Beat Sealed Battle events. These events were held at eligible Pokémon Card Gym locations from March 10, 2023 and ran for as long as stocks lasted. The copy of Nemona given away was random.[1] Both prints feature the Sealed Battle event logo.
In Japan, the Naranja Academy print was available again in four of the standard ex Start Decks released on July 7, 2023—the Grass Decidueye ex Start Deck, the Water Greninja ex Start Deck, the Fighting Koraidon ex Start Deck, and the Darkness Houndoom ex Start Deck—as well as the secret Dragon-type Centered Deck initially exclusive to Random ex Start Decks. The Uva Academy print was similarly available in the standard Fire Victini ex Start Deck, Fightning Miraidon ex Start Deck, Psychic Clefable ex Start Deck, and Metal Melmetal ex Start Deck, plus the secret Colorless-type Centered Deck. The secret decks were later sold separately as the Tera Dragonite ex Start Deck and the Tera Greedent ex Start Deck from November 24, 2023.
Both prints were available as Mirror Holofoil cards in the Japanese 2023 Pokémon World Championships Yokohama Deck: Pikachu, released on July 28, 2023. In Japan, Non Holofoil prints were subsequently available in the Terastal Starter Sets from September 22, 2023—the Naranja Academy variant was included in the Terastal Starter Set Skeledirge ex, while the Uva Academy variant was included in the Terastal Starter Set Mewtwo ex. Both prints were also included in the Venusaur & Charizard & Blastoise Special Deck Set ex, released on November 10, 2023. A pair of Starter Deck & Build Sets was released on January 26, 2024—copies of the Ancient Koraidon ex Starter Deck & Build Set included the Naranja Academy print; copies of the Future Miraidon ex Starter Deck & Build Set included the Uva Academy print.
Nemona's Uva Academy artwork was eventually released outside Asia in the special Paldean Fates expansion alongside a new ultra rare print, again featuring artwork by Sanosuke Sakuma, as well as a new special illustration rare print featuring artwork by aspara. Both the ultra rare and special illustration rare prints originated from the Japanese Shiny Treasure ex subset.
Both artworks are featured in the four decks of the Japanese Pokémon Card Game Battle Academy, which was released on March 8, 2024. The Sprigatito ex Deck and Lucario ex Deck included the Naranja Academy print, while the Pikachu ex Deck and Greninja ex Deck included the Uva Academy print. Each of these cards also has a colored silhouette of the eponymous Pokémon to signify which deck they belong to. Both prints are also available in the Stellar Tera Type Starter Sets: the Sylveon ex deck has the Naranja Academy print, while the Ceruledge ex deck has the Uva Academy print.
More SV-P Promo prints were available to participants of Crimson Haze Sealed Battle events, which were held at Pokémon Card Gym sites in Japan between March 22 and May 12, 2024. The Naranja Academy print has the collection number 153/SV-P, while the Uva Academy print has the collection number 154/SV-P; both cards feature the Sealed Battle event logo. One random copy of Nemona was given to each entrant.[2] These prints have the "Sealed Battle" stamp on the bottom right corner of the artwork. These cards are distributed again to participants of Sealed Battle events for Paradise Dragona, which are held at Pokémon Card Gym sites in Japan beginning September 13, 2024.
The Naranja Academy artwork of this card is included in all nine Generations Start Decks.
