Narrative illustration (TCG Pocket)

A narrative illustration is a card illustration that features one part of a story, and continues the story onto other related cards. These are distinct from combined illustrations, which feature one illustration split across multiple cards.

Most of these groups of cards are part of dedicated Themed Collections. Several illustrations part of the same narrative are also created by the same illustrator.

The illustrations on these cards are by Ryuta Fuse. Both Electabuzz and Magmar appear to be punching in the opposite direction with blue electical sparkles and red flames spreading around them.

The illustrations on these cards are by AKIRA EGAWA. Machamp and Alakazam seem to be fighting against each other, with Alakazam throwing rocks and Machamp destroying them.

Slowpoke

Slowpoke
The regular print Slowpoke takes its artwork from the Fossil expansion's Slowpoke, the first card of Miki Tanaka. After 27 years the author expanded that artwork in Genetic Apex's illustration rare, where more Slowpoke can be seen. The clouds moved, and the point of the tail of the central one has been changed to white to display the current design of the Pokémon.
