List of Dutch Pokémon home video releases
This article is incomplete. Please feel free to edit this article to add missing information and complete it. Reason: when RCV/E1 got rights to movies 1-3, how they differ from Warner's |
The following is a list of all of the Dutch home video releases of the Pokémon animated series and movies. All DVDs are Region 2.
The publishers are Bridge Entertainment Group (animated series), Universal Pictures (movies), E1 Entertainment (movies), and Warner Bros. (movies). RCV Entertainment was renamed E1 Entertainment, a subsidiary of Entertainment One Group, in 2009.
The first three movies were released by Warner Bros. with the voice actors from the Dutch dub of the animated series. From the fourth movie on the movies were distributed by RCV Entertainment, they longer included Pikachu shorts and switched to another, cheaper dubbing studio. Nearly all voice actors were replaced, the only remaining voice actors were Christa Lips (Ash) and Marlies Somers (Misty). In the fifth, sixth and seventh movie they also replaced the voice actors of Ash and Misty. From the eighth movie on they premiered on Jetix (later Disney XD) instead of DVD, this also meant that all movies from now on had the voice actors from the animated series.
Pokémon animated series
All Dutch releases of the Pokémon animated series have only Dutch audio available.
Arcade Pictures releases
Arcade Pictures distributed these VHSes and DVDs in the Netherlands. All releases included the Kanto Pokérap in English.
