Fillet Away (Japanese: みをけずる Cut to the Bone) is a non-damaging Normal-type move introduced in Generation IX. It is the signature move of Veluza.
Effect
Fillet Away deducts half of the user's maximum HP (rounded down) from its current HP and, in return, it raises the user's Attack, Special Attack, and Speed stats by two stages each.
Fillet Away fails if the user's current HP is less than or equal to half its maximum, or if the user's aforementioned stats are all at +6 stages.

Trivia
- The move's Japanese name, みをけずる (Mi o Kezuru), which can be translated literally as 'to chip away at one's body,' has the figurative meaning of 'enduring severe hardships,' generally in order to achieve a goal.[1]
- Similarly, the move's European Spanish name, Deslome, can be understood as both 'cutting fish fillets' or 'wearing one's back out', normally from working too hard.
