Arceus arc
The Arceus arc (Japanese: アルセウス編 Arceus Arc)[note 1] is a storyline available in Pokémon Masters EX as part of its main story (Japanese: メインストーリー Main Story). It takes place after the events of the villain arc, and it tells the stories of various sync pairs that manage to gain the blessing of Arceus.
Unlike the two prior arcs, the chapters of the Arceus arc can be completed in any order. An option to play the arc on Hard difficulty exists, but no areas are available in that difficulty. The recommended level for the Arceus arc is level 60.
The story of the Arceus arc began with the addition of the Mysterious Stones chapter on November 1, 2023. However, it was not revealed that this was only the first chapter of a larger story arc until August 20, 2024, when it was simply referred to as the ??? Arc. It was officially named the Arceus arc on August 28, 2024, alongside the addition of its first chapter.
Chapters
Prelude: Mysterious Stones Chapter
- Main article: The Echo of a Deity's Voice
Initially known as the Mysterious Stones chapter, the Prelude of the Arceus arc, The Echo of a Deity's Voice, was added to the main story on November 1, 2023. It focuses on several characters, including the player, Professor Bellis, Rei, Cynthia, Steven, and Lance, as they attempt to unravel the mystery of the mysterious stones on Pasio.
Chapter 1
- Main article: Three Champions
Chapter 1 of the Arceus arc, Three Champions, was added to the main story on August 28, 2024. It focuses on Cynthia, Steven, and Lance as they forge strong bonds with their partner Pokémon and become the first sync pairs to receive arc suits.
Chapter 2
- Main article: The Bond That Guides Leon
Chapter 2 of the Arceus arc, The Bond That Guides Leon, was added to the main story on November 29, 2024. It focuses on Leon as he tries to cope with a loss against Red and manages to gain an arc suit during a rematch between their Charizard.
Chapter 3
- Main article: Proof of Love
Chapter 3 of the Arceus arc, Proof of Love, was added to the main story on March 10, 2025. It focuses on N as he challenges the Unova Elite Four and Iris to acquire an arc suit in order to prove the strength of his bonds with all his partner Pokémon.
Chapter 4
- Main article: The Meaning of Strength
Chapter 4 of the Arceus arc, The Meaning of Strength, was added to the main story on April 30, 2025. It focuses on Alder as he teaches his grandson, Benga, what it truly means to have strength, receiving an arc suit in the process.
Chapter 5
- Main article: Competitive Heart and Soul
Chapter 5 of the Arceus arc, Competitive Heart and Soul, was added to the main story on July 15, 2025. It focuses on Ethan and Silver training their Pokémon in preparation to face each other at the Arceus Cup, receiving arc suits during their battle.
Chapter 6
- Main article: Fixation on the Creator
Chapter 6 of the Arceus arc, Fixation on the Creator, was added to the main story on September 15, 2025. It focuses on Volo as he participates in the Arceus Cup in an attempt to attain an arc suit.
Chapter 7
- Main article: Eternally Green
Chapter 7 of the Arceus arc, Eternally Green, was added to the main story on October 31, 2025. It focuses on Blue as he challenges Giovanni to compete against him at the Arceus Cup, acquiring an arc suit in the process.
Chapter 8
- Main article: Rock Defense, Water Offense
Chapter 8 of the Arceus arc, Rock Defense, Water Offense, was added to the main story on February 17, 2026. It focuses on Misty and Brock as they enter a special Gym Leaders-only, PWT style Arceus Cup, where they awaken their own arc suits.
Chapter 9
- Main article: Past Paths, Future Paths
Chapter 9 of the Arceus arc, Past Paths, Future Paths, was added to the main story on April 1, 2026. It focuses on Korrina and Sabrina as they both fail to awaken their arc suits during the second Gym Leader Tournament of the Arceus Cup. They vow to battle again and begin training to find what they are missing, ultimately succeeding in awakening their arc suits.
