Samson's Vulpix (Japanese: ナリヤのロコン Nariya's Rokon) is his second known Pokémon in the anime that first appeared in the first episode as an egg then later hatched in SM014.

History

In Alola to New Adventure!, Vulpix's Egg is delivered to Samson Oak from his cousin, Professor Oak, under the care of Ash. In Lillie's Egg-xhilarating Challenge!, Samson offers Ash and his classmates the opportunity to raise either its Egg or a white one. When the latter was chosen, Samson chose to care for its Egg himself.

In SM014, Vulpix finally hatches.

Vulpix reappeared in SM017.

Vulpix reappeared in SM024.

Personality and characteristics

Vulpix is a playful and friendly Pokémon upon hatching, instantly warming up to the others in comparison to the once reserved Shiron, who hatched shortly before it. It tries to be helpful, when Ash was frozen by its Alolan counterpart, it uses Ember to unfreeze him and also attempts to welcome Shiron to the other Pokémon to break it out of its shell and become friends.
