Ralts (Japanese: ラルトス Ralts; German: Trasla; French: Tarsal) is a Psychic-type Pokémon.

Pokédex entries

Pokémon Emerald
A Ralts has the power to sense the emotions of people and Pokémon with the horns on its head. It takes cover if it senses any hostility.

Name origin

Ralts' name is based on a play on words of the word "Waltz." A waltz is a type of dance, and the entire Gardevoir line appears to have several similarities to dancers.

Ralts' appearance seems to be based slightly on that of a young child, following the thought that young children can sense feelings easier and more thoroughly than adults.
