VS Loudred & Exploud II or Escape, And... (Japanese: VS ドゴーム & バクオング II VS Dogohmb & Bakuong II or 脱出 そして Escape, And) is the 221st round of the Pokémon Adventures manga.

Synopsis

As Marge asks Ruby to join Team Magma, a powerful sound wave shoots through the cave, sending them flying. Marge quickly realizes that it must have been a Hyper Voice attack, which was fired from the Loudred and Exploud earlier. Confused at Marge's offer, Ruby goes to check on his Pokémon, which are badly hurt from Marge's attacks, including Zuzu, who's water supply evaporates.

Marge demands and answer from Ruby, but he decides to put his team into their balls and send them off with Zuzu. Angered at Ruby's decision to sacrifice himself, Marge decides to burn Ruby to death for acting like a hero. Ruby corrects her, as he reveals that he never intended to keep only his Pokémon safe. Marge quickly discovers yarn tied around her head, which is also connected to Ruby's Pokéblock case. As Zuzu runs, the yarn from the sweater Ruby put on him unravels as it is put over a large boulder, pulling Ruby and Marge into the air.

Ruby reveals that with Zuzu's radar, he knew that Tyler, Maryann, Wallene, and Riley are driving into the cave. The others arrive in the Hoenn TV van, which Zuzu and Ruby land on. As Marge demands that Ruby come back, Ruby cuts the yarn line, dropping her into the raging flames below.

Later, Marge walks out the flames, burnt but still alive. She gets a call from Mack, who asks her how her search for the Red Orb went. Marge states she has lost interest in the search and has changed her focus onto another subject. She then asks Mack if he can take over the search instead, which Mack figures out is because of Ruby. Marge asks Mack to tell their leader that she'll be gone for a while. As Ruby rides the van to safety, Marge swears that she won't give up.

Suddenly, the Detector begins working, much to Mack's surprise. He is shocked to find that the Red Orb and the Blue Orb are actually in the same location. He checks it to find that they are located at Mt. Pyre.

The counter of the bet continues at thirty-six days.
