Mamie and her Glameow

Mamie (Japanese: マミイ Mamī) is the character of the day in For The Love Of Meowth. She is voiced by 後藤沙緒里 Saori Gotō in Japanese.

Mamie is a traveling Pokémon Trainer who came across Meowth unconscious after he had been separated from Jessie and James. When he came to, he fell head over heels in love with her Glameow. Jessie and James soon find him and thanked Mamie for looking after him. They then took their leave, dragging Meowth with them. A little while later, Mamie meets up with Ash and his friends. She informs them that she is trying to collect Gym Badges. As the gang crossed a bridge, they fell in a trap set by Team Rocket and they took Mamie's Glameow away from her.

Mamie is aided by Ash and his friends in the search for her Glameow. They soon find Jessie and James but they claim Meowth ran off with her Glameow. When Meowth is discovered, he refuses to give Glameow back to Mamie or surrender her to Team Rocket. When James accidentally hits her Glameow with Carnivine's Bullet Seed, she unexpectedly evolves into Purugly. No longer attracted to her, Meowth gives up Purugly, who returns to Mamie. She then commands Purugly to use Hyper Beam on Team Rocket, sending them blasting off again.

Mamie thanks Ash and the others for helping her find Purugly before going their own ways.

Purugly
After waking up, Meowth fell in love at first sight with a Glameow. Later on, after joining Jessie and James, the Team Rocket trio tries to steal Glameow from its Trainer. Despite sending Glameow back to its Poké Ball, Team Rocket was still successful in their attempt. That night, Meowth sent Glameow out of its ball and fled with it, fearing that it would get hurt if it were to join him with Jessie and James. After Jessie and James, as well as Ash, Dawn, Brock and Mamie, manage to find Meowth, Meowth protects Glameow and manages to defeat several of the group's Pokémon. However, after James's Carnivine's Bullet Seed manages to hit Glameow, it evolves into Purugly. As well as becoming much larger, Purugly has a much more bossy personality and starts to order Meowth about. Meowth, in shock, loses the strength he gained and is quickly defeated. He then allows Purugly to return to Mamie. After looking up Purugly's moves on her Pokédex, Mamie has Purugly send Team Rocket blasting off.

Purugly's known moves are Body Slam and Hyper Beam.
