The instructor (Japanese: 係員 attendant) is a character of the day who appeared in Battles in the Sky!. He works at the Sky Battle center located in the Kalos Canyon, serving as a guide for newcomers and also as one of the referees for the Sky Battles held in the place.
He approached Ash and his friends as they witnessed a Sky Battle going on, and asked if it was their first time at the Kalos Canyon. When the group showed interest in Sky Battles, the instructor took them to the Sky Battle center.
