Gracidea (Japanese: グラシデア Glacidea) is a place presumably in Sinnoh. It is near the top of a mountain. Shaymin, along with others of its species, lives here. If a Shaymin touches one of the flowers native to this place, it will immediately change form.

In the anime

Gracidea was a place featured in the movie, Giratina and the Sky Warrior, which Shaymin had longed for and kept referring to as "that place".

In the games

Gracidea did not appear in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, but its equivalent is the Flower Paradise, as Shaymin can be found there in the games and there are plenty of flowers, just like Gracidea. In Pokémon Platinum, Gracidea itself does not appear, but the Gracidea Flower is given to the player by a lady in Floaroma Town. Any Shaymin can transform from this flower, but the player can only obtain it if they have the Movie 11 event Shaymin in their party.

Trivia

Gracidea's Japanese name comes from the fact that it is next to a glacier. This was the same glacier that, in the movie, began moving and almost destroyed a nearby town because of Zero's actions in the Reverse World. Its English name, aside from being a romanization of the Japanese name, is based on the word "grace". This could also refer to Serene Grace, the ability Shaymin has in its Sky Forme.
