Pokémon Card e Series
We co-developed the e-Reader peripheral for the Game Boy Advance with Nintendo and Olympus. Players could enjoy minigames and movies by scanning the 2D barcode printed on Pokémon cards. By distributing programs via Pokémon cards, we created an experience similar to deck building. The key example of this is the "Construction: Action" game, where you can construct a map and play. In the Pokémon TCG, we also implemented "hidden attacks" in which part of the attack's effect is random. "The hard part was the durability testing. From morning until night, I swiped the cards over and over until the card couldn't be read." (Masamichi Anazawa) (December 1, 2001)

Release information
This card was included in the Aquapolis expansion with artwork by Shin-ichi Yoshikawa, first released in the Japanese Wind from the Sea expansion. In Japan, it was reprinted as one of the P Promotional cards with new artwork by Kai Ishikawa as a gift card awarded during the 2002 Summer Battle Roads.
This card's Wind from the Sea print was included in the Pokémon Card Game 25th Anniversary Creatures Deck, a commemorative Half Deck given to Creatures, Inc. illustrators and staff members to celebrate the Pokémon 25th Anniversary and the company's 26th. In this deck, this card represents the year 2002 of the company's history, and the back contains information about the development of the e-Reader. This card has a "25th" stamp next to the illustration, and keeps the original set symbol, rarity, and collection number.
