Blasty (Japanese: カメちゃん Kame-chan) is one of the Pokémon owned by Blue in the Pokémon Special manga.
History
Blue stole Blasty as a Squirtle from Professor Oak's Lab during the RGB arc. However, he had already evolved into a Wartortle when he debuted in Wartortle Wars. Just like Blue, he too has a tricky personality. After he evolved into a Blastoise, he became one of the major powerhouses on Blue's team. He also became capable of aerial transport by withdrawing his limbs into his shell and blasting water out from his cannons to propel himself forward. In the GSC arc, Blue lent Blasty to Red to assist him on his journey on Mt. Silver. In the FRLG arc, Blasty inherited the ultimate water attack, Hydro Cannon, directly from Kimberly, without having to clear the Jump Path, Catch Path, and Battle Path to master the skills.
