Ash's Mamepato (Japanese: サトシのマメパト Satoshi's Mamepato) is the first Pokémon that Ash Ketchum caught in the Isshu region.

History

Keeping with his Template:Type2 tradition, Ash captured Mamepato soon upon his arrival in the Isshu region. Mamepato managed to put up a good fight against Ash's Pikachu as it took Iron Tail, Quick Attack, and Thunderbolt to take down the Baby Pigeon Pokémon. After finally weakening it, Ash took the chance to capture the Pokémon. He then celebrated with Pikachu as Iris showed up.
