===Abandoned Ship===
Located on {{rt|108|Hoenn}}, the [[Abandoned Ship]] is all that remains from when the S.S. Cactus ran aground. The old vessel has many rusted holes, broken doors, and furniture scattered around. Navigating the structure requires the use of both {{m|Surf}} and {{m|Dive}}. Once slated for demolition, the half-sunken vessel now exists as a refuge for water-dwelling Pokémon.

Once you start your save file again you should be in your room at your house in [[Littleroot Town]]. Go downstairs and your father will be there. He gives you a present from your old friend [[Mr. Briney]], the S.S. Ticket for the [[S.S. Tidal]] and suggests you go to the Battle Tower, before leaving for the [[Petalburg Gym]]. Take a look at the TV— it states that there is a flying Pokémon traveling around Hoenn, which is {{p|Latios}}{{sup/3|Ru}} or {{p|Latias}}{{sup/3|Sa}}. From this point on you have a chance of finding one of these [[Roaming Pokémon]]. To get the other [[Eon duo|Eon Pokémon]], you must use either the other version or get the event-exclusive Eon Ticket to [[Southern Island]], a special Nintendo event-only location.

Since the Pokémon change locations, when a boundary is crossed (such as entering or exiting a building), one viable strategy for increasing encounters with the Eon Pokémon is to find a grass patch near a building, such as [[Route 117]] near the [[Pokémon Day Care]] or the southern end of [[Route 110]] near the entrance to [[Seaside Cycling Road]]. Use a Repel (of any strength) and bunny hop on the Acro Bike in the grass. If the Eon Pokémon doesn't appear within a minute or so, enter and exit the nearby building to change the area the Eon Pokémon is currently visiting, and repeat the process. Once you've encountered the Pokémon the first time, its current location will be visible in your Pokédex.

===1F (east)===
Three of the four cabins here are connected. Visit the isolated northwest cabin for a {{DL|Mail|Harbor Mail}} and head downstairs.
 
===B1F===
Fight Sailor Duncan and collect a {{ball|Dive}} from the north-central cabin. Visit the southwest cabin for an [[Escape Rope]] and climb the stairs in the northwest corner.
 
===1F (west)===
Pass through the north cabin to get a {{DL|Revive|Revive}}, then go through the south door to reach the outside of the ship. Climb the stairway there to reach the Captain's office.
 
===Captain's Office===
The Scientist inside is investigating the ship on [[Captain Stern]]'s behalf. Stern asked him to find a Scanner, but he hasn't had much success. Pick up the nearby {{key|III|Storage Key}} and return to the basement floor.
 
===B1F===
Inspect the locked door to the northeast cabin to insert the Storage Key. The key becomes stuck in the lock, but the door opens. Inside, you find {{TM|13|Ice Beam}}. After that, head for the south-central cabin. Seawater has flooded into the room, so use {{m|Dive}} to traverse an underwater hallway that leads to an isolated part of the ship.
 
===Hidden Floor===
This part of the ship has six cabins. Rooms 1-3 are located on the south side, and Rooms 4-6 are found to the north. Four of these rooms are locked, and although Room 5 is unlocked, there is debris blocking the door.
 
Enter Room 3 to see a sparkle on the floor; this signifies a hidden item. Pick up the {{key|III|Rm. 1 Key}} from the northeast corner, and the [[Water Stone]] to the left before leaving.
 
There are two hidden items in Room 1. The {{key|III|Rm. 4 Key}} is located near the west wall, while the other item is just trash. The visible item is {{TM|18|Rain Dance}}.
 
In Room 4, inspect the trash can in the northeast corner to find the {{key|III|Rm. 6 Key}}.
 
Enter Room 6 and collect the {{ball|Luxury}}, then use the narrow hallway to reach the adjoining room. Room 5 has three pieces of trash and one item; the {{key|III|Rm. 2 Key}} is located three steps south of the left-hand trash can.
 
Visit Room 2 to find the {{key|III|Scanner}}. If you show this to the Scientist in the Captain's office, he asks you to take it to Captain Stern back in {{DL|Slateport City|Slateport Harbor}}. Once there, Stern offers to trade either a [[Deep Sea Tooth|DeepSeaTooth]] or a [[Deep Sea Scale|DeepSeaScale]] for it. The DeepSeaTooth doubles a {{p|Clamperl}}'s {{stat|Special Attack}} when held, and triggers Clamperl's evolution into {{p|Huntail}} when traded. The DeepSeaScale doubles a Clamperl's {{stat|Special Defense}} when held, and triggers its evolution into {{p|Gorebyss}} when traded.
 
==Mauville City==
When you return to {{ci|Mauville}}, you find [[Wattson]] standing near the Pokémon Center. He asks for a favor, and explains that the city has an underground sector known as [[New Mauville]]. There's a generator inside that hasn't been functioning properly, and he needs you to go and turn it off before the situation gets out of control. He gives you the {{key|III|Basement Key}} and directs you to the facility's entrance on {{rt|110|Hoenn}}. {{m|Surf}} eastward under the north end of [[Seaside Cycling Road]] to reach the facility.

Use the Basement Key to unlock the door, and step inside to reach the southeast room.
 
====B1F====
The lower floor uses a series of colored buttons as a security measure; when stepped on, all similarly-colored doors open while all others close. Step on the blue button in the entrance room and go west. Press the green button in the next room and continue on. Pass by the third button and head north to reach an [[Escape Rope]]; collect the item and press the blue button beneath it. Go northwest to find a room with two items, a {{DL|Status ailment healing item|Paralyze Heal|Parlyz Heal}} to the left and a {{p|Voltorb}} to the right. Follow the hallway eastward to the north-central room and another pair of items, a Voltorb to the left and a {{DL|Status ailment healing item|Full Heal}} to the right; collect the item and step on the green button beneath it. The generator is located in the northeast room; press the red button to shut it down and collect the [[Thunder Stone|ThunderStone]] before leaving the area.
 
With your task complete, return to [[Wattson]] outside the Pokémon Center. Inform him that everything is all right in New Mauville, and the grateful Gym Leader rewards you with {{TM|24|Thunderbolt}}.
 
==Route 129==

==S.S Tidal==

With the S.S. Ticket in your hand you can board the [[S.S. Tidal]] in [[Slateport City]] or [[Lilycove City]]. This ship can transport between both cities or to the [[Battle Tower (Hoenn)|Battle Tower]]. If you choose the Battle Tower there it quickly takes you there, but if you choose either of the two cities you can actually go inside of it.

The S.S. Tidal is in command of old friend [[Mr. Briney]] who previously helped you got across the ocean between Slateport, [[Dewford City]] and [[Petalburg City]]. Mr. Briney was made the honorary captain by [[Captain Stern]] (though it was first referenced if you head to Stern's Shipyard in Slateport after the Team Magma{{sup/3|Ru}}/Aqua{{sup/3|Sa}} encounter).

You can also go collect a few items namely {{TM|49|Snatch}} from the cabin directly above Cabin 4 or the {{DL|In-battle effect item|Leftovers}} hidden in the trash in the upper left corner of the basement. Other than that there is nothing else to do inside of the S.S. Tidal. After resting in your room a few times, the announcement will be made that the ship has arrived in whichever city you are headed to.

===Mirage Island===
While {{rt|130|Hoenn}} usually appears as a simple stretch of ocean, it is sometimes home to a strange island that seems to appear and disappear. The island is inhabited only by {{p|Wynaut}}, which range in level from 5 to 50. A soft soil patch on the island's east side holds a single [[Liechi Berry]] tree. This is the best Berry to use in [[Pokéblock]]s, as it will produce Gold Pokéblocks.

Once you make the request to head to the Battle Tower in Slateport or Lilycove Harbor you will automatically arrive. This area is the only closed off area of Hoenn that is accessible by ship and once you are here only the ship or {{m|Fly}} can take you back to the main areas of Hoenn.
{{rt|131|Hoenn}} lies between {{rt|130|Hoenn}} to the east and [[Pacifidlog Town]] to the west. There are no underwater trenches in this stretch of ocean, but several Trainers on the surface are looking to battle. On the route's north side is a large island, currently off-limits, that is home to the towering [[Sky Pillar]].


The battle tower is designed to test your skills as a player and can give you a Trainer star if you win 50 in a row. The battles involve single, double, or linked up battles. Other than that there is no other function that the player tower has. Here is the list of those banned from use.

Visit the northeast house and talk to the girl inside. She tells you a mysterious bit of wisdom passed down from her grandfather: ''Six dots open three doors''. Her father also remembers hearing tales of three Pokémon representing the powers of {{t|Rock}}, {{t|Ice}}, and {{t|Steel}}. It seems that Hoenn still has some secrets to discover!


Once you get past the entrance you should reach the building. You will need to use the {{DL|Bicycle|Mach Bike}} to get to the top along with skilled timing to get past the cracked floor. It would be smart to bring some {{DL|Repel|Max Repels}} to avoid your concentration on using the bike being interrupted by wild Pokémon.
===Mirage Man===

The old man in the southeast house spends his time by scanning the horizon for {{gdis|Mirage Island|III}}. Speak with him every day to learn if the island has appeared.


On 2F you may have some difficulties, but all you have to do is head for the other door and only worry about making a few well-timed sharp turns. The fourth floor is more difficult, however— you must move south, then quickly move west, and at the last part of the south area of the room, quickly move north without stopping at the rock. Lastly, without moving too slow or too fast, move to the cracked area in the middle and fall down to return to the third floor. Use the stairs there to get back up, and then you can travel to the fifth floor. Just be patient on both these floors, since it will probably take some time before you can pull it off successfully.
===Time for a Trade===
The woman in the south-central house is having trouble catching different Pokémon around town. She wishes to trade her {{p|Corsola}} for a {{p|Bellossom}}. Corsola can be found on {{rt|128}}, but almost never appear. Bellossom evolves from {{p|Gloom}}, which can be found easily in several areas, including the {{ho|Safari Zone}}.

Once you reach the roof (6F), you will find the legendary Pokémon {{p|Rayquaza}} waiting for you. Rayquaza is the highest-leveled Pokémon you will find in the game, and unless you have a Pokémon that is around level 70 with excellent Defense, a Master Ball will probably be necessary in order to catch it. You have now completed pretty much all that the game has to offer. The only real challenge left is the Battle Tower. If you win 50 times in a row, you can get a [[Trainer stars|star on your Trainer Card]]. Additionally, if you trade with {{game|FireRed and LeafGreen|s}} or {{game|Emerald}}, you will receive National Pokédex upgrade. Game Freak employee at {{ci|Lilycove}}'s hotel will give you diploma for completing Hoenn Pokédex and another for National Pokédex (minus event-only Pokémon for both).

Route 108

Abandoned Ship

Located on Route 108, the Abandoned Ship is all that remains from when the S.S. Cactus ran aground. The old vessel has many rusted holes, broken doors, and furniture scattered around. Navigating the structure requires the use of both Surf and Dive. Once slated for demolition, the half-sunken vessel now exists as a refuge for water-dwelling Pokémon.


1F (east)

Three of the four cabins here are connected. Visit the isolated northwest cabin for a Harbor Mail and head downstairs.

B1F

Fight Sailor Duncan and collect a Dive Ball from the north-central cabin. Visit the southwest cabin for an Escape Rope and climb the stairs in the northwest corner.

1F (west)

Pass through the north cabin to get a Revive, then go through the south door to reach the outside of the ship. Climb the stairway there to reach the Captain's office.

Captain's Office

The Scientist inside is investigating the ship on Captain Stern's behalf. Stern asked him to find a Scanner, but he hasn't had much success. Pick up the nearby Storage Key and return to the basement floor.

B1F

Inspect the locked door to the northeast cabin to insert the Storage Key. The key becomes stuck in the lock, but the door opens. Inside, you find TM13 (Ice Beam). After that, head for the south-central cabin. Seawater has flooded into the room, so use Dive to traverse an underwater hallway that leads to an isolated part of the ship.

Hidden Floor

This part of the ship has six cabins. Rooms 1-3 are located on the south side, and Rooms 4-6 are found to the north. Four of these rooms are locked, and although Room 5 is unlocked, there is debris blocking the door.

Enter Room 3 to see a sparkle on the floor; this signifies a hidden item. Pick up the Rm. 1 Key from the northeast corner, and the Water Stone to the left before leaving.

There are two hidden items in Room 1. The Rm. 4 Key is located near the west wall, while the other item is just trash. The visible item is TM18 (Rain Dance).

In Room 4, inspect the trash can in the northeast corner to find the Rm. 6 Key.

Enter Room 6 and collect the Luxury Ball, then use the narrow hallway to reach the adjoining room. Room 5 has three pieces of trash and one item; the Rm. 2 Key is located three steps south of the left-hand trash can.

Visit Room 2 to find the Scanner. If you show this to the Scientist in the Captain's office, he asks you to take it to Captain Stern back in Slateport Harbor. Once there, Stern offers to trade either a DeepSeaTooth or a DeepSeaScale for it. The DeepSeaTooth doubles a Clamperl's Special Attack when held, and triggers Clamperl's evolution into Huntail when traded. The DeepSeaScale doubles a Clamperl's Special Defense when held, and triggers its evolution into Gorebyss when traded.

Mauville City

When you return to Mauville, you find Wattson standing near the Pokémon Center. He asks for a favor, and explains that the city has an underground sector known as New Mauville. There's a generator inside that hasn't been functioning properly, and he needs you to go and turn it off before the situation gets out of control. He gives you the Basement Key and directs you to the facility's entrance on Route 110. Surf eastward under the north end of Seaside Cycling Road to reach the facility.

New Mauville

New Mauville was intended to be an underground city extending dozens of floors below the surface. However, the project died in development when it was discovered to be a habitat for wild Pokémon.


Entrance

Use the Basement Key to unlock the door, and step inside to reach the southeast room.

B1F

The lower floor uses a series of colored buttons as a security measure; when stepped on, all similarly-colored doors open while all others close. Step on the blue button in the entrance room and go west. Press the green button in the next room and continue on. Pass by the third button and head north to reach an Escape Rope; collect the item and press the blue button beneath it. Go northwest to find a room with two items, a Parlyz Heal to the left and a Voltorb to the right. Follow the hallway eastward to the north-central room and another pair of items, a Voltorb to the left and a Full Heal to the right; collect the item and step on the green button beneath it. The generator is located in the northeast room; press the red button to shut it down and collect the ThunderStone before leaving the area.

With your task complete, return to Wattson outside the Pokémon Center. Inform him that everything is all right in New Mauville, and the grateful Gym Leader rewards you with TM24 (Thunderbolt).

Route 129

Route 129 lies to the south of Route 128. Though an optional route, the several Trainers found here make it a worthwhile place to explore.


Route 130

Route 130 is a short, straightforward route that links Routes 129 and 131. The waterway is occasionally occupied by Mirage Island.
