Pokémon Wiki (Japanese: ポケモンWiki, Pokémon Wiki) is a Japanese Pokémon encyclopedia based on the wiki concept. It is the Japanese member of Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis, a multi-lingual group of wikis documenting all aspects of Pokémon.
History
Pokémon Wiki was originally set up by FPU. Like Bulbapedia is a part of Bulbagarden, Pokémon Wiki was originally an extension of its parent website, the Pokémon Republic, and at that time was known as the Pokémon Republic Wiki. However, it soon gained independence from Pokémon Republic, becoming simply Pokémon Wiki.
In early June, 2006, Sno, a user of Pokémon Republic, found both Bulbapedia and PokéWiki and proposed that FPU contact them about cooperating. FPU agreed, contacting Bulbapedia's own Zhen Lin about a possible alliance. This was realized on June 23, 2006, when Pokémon Wiki became the third member of Encyclopædiæ Pokémonis.
