Talk:List of recurring wild Pokémon in the animated series
Do you think Wynaut, Spoink and Hippopotas should have their own articles? --Taromon777 15:50, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
- They did, and they were all merged onto this page per the new anime Pokémon policy. --rockersk08 16:35, 29 September 2009 (UTC)
Gible
Now that Gible is following Ash, shouldn't it be added? Or should we wait a few episodes? --Kimori-Hinoarashi 21:45, 21 December 2009 (UTC) User talk:Kimori-Hinoarashi
- Probably wait to see if someone catches it in Thursday's episode...--Psyライダー☮ 21:50, 21 December 2009 (UTC)
- And he caught it. -- Kimori-Hinoarashi
- It's not a recurring wild Pokémon though... Well, it is, but so is Aipom, and it's not listed here. ht14 18:56, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- The article says recurring wild Pokémon. The purpose of this is to list Pokémon like Jigglypuff, Snubbull, Spoink, and Hippopotas. Aipom and Gible are owned by main characters, and I don't see a need for them on the list. Maybe a trivia mention about how they used to be recurring wild Pokémon before being captured... --electAbuzzzz 19:51, 24 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well then, in that case, then does Madame Muchmoney's Granbull belong here and on the template? As far as I'm concerned, it's not a wild Pokémon. I won't take it off, but if I'm right, then somebody please do that. Also, referring to the first post, there's a page on it. So if I'm wrong, the whole page should be merged to this one. --Trickyb 23:56, 12 March 2010 (UTC)

Loudred
Say, since in the Hoenn saga there was a Loudred which appeared in a few episodes where in it rampaged around and all, shouldn't it also be added here? Or was it caught? --Shinytwo 13:17, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
- Added, but its hidden since I havent done a summary for it, Ive not seen any of the episodes it was in. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 14:37, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Snubbull/Granbull
Why is Snubbull/Granbull here? It was an OWNED Pokémon owned by Madame Muchmoney. Rai Marshall 23:17, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Well, she was technically running around as a wild Pokémon for a while before returning to her owner. —♥ Jello 23:21, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
- Except it wasn't like she was released back in the wild, she was still an owned Pokémon who just chose to follow someone else for that time being. She wasn't wild. Rai Marshall 23:46, 2 August 2010 (UTC)
Game version of pokemon is incorrect
If Hippopotas is male, why is it shown as a female Hippopotas (game sprite)...? Chomi 14:57, 11 August 2010 (UTC)
Ash's Larvitar
Surely if the Hippopotas gets an article then Ash's Larvitar should have a section, their roles are quite similar in that they are both carried by Ash to be returned to their family and constantly use a certain move (Larvitar's being Harden and Hippopotas' being Yawn), the only differences are that Larvitar debuted as an egg and was used in battle, so shouldn't it have some part in this page (given that Ash didn't truly capture Larvitar)? Loudred on Dewoford Island
Some raised this topic before but no one replied, an angry Laudred appeared many times throught out the Dewofard saga, however is right to assume it was the same one? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 00:36, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
- I think it's the same one. The situations it got into numerous times (being surprised/stepped on/vice gripped while sleeping) all point in that direction. You might as well say the wynaut in this article is 3 or 4 completely different Pokémon, there is no more evidence to support it being the same one than the loudred. Sandile/Waruvile
It's notable for it's own page now? J-J-M 15:32, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Sunglasses
Should it be noted that its sunglasses seem to have grown with evelution?Lucariade 20:02, 24 February 2011 (UTC)
Capture
Should we put it in the recurring wild Pokemon caught by Ash when the episode airs? Chomper4 12:43, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
Palpitoad?
Palpitoad DID appear in BW034, and was caught in the next episode. Should we add Ash's Palpitoad to the list of Recurring wild Pokémon that have been caught? EvilKirikizan 00:01, 16 June 2011 (UTC)
Lake guardians and Loundred
The lake gaurdians in the Dp searies and the Loundred on Dewoford island, shouldn't they be here ? Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 09:19, 16 October 2011 (UTC)
Pikachu Short Marill
Given that it appeared in no less than four shorts, should the Marill that kept using Sing in the Pikachu Shorts be included on this page? Watchermark 15:46, 1 November 2011 (UTC)
- I've added it after Spoink, but I've kept it hidded because I've not written a summary, since I've not seen these shorts. Vuvuzela2010 Δ 12:44, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
Slowking
Can I propose that Slowking be removed from this page? It was a main character in the movie and had one tiny extra appearance. I wouldn't call that recurring, so I'd suggest it should get its own page like character-of-the-day Pokémon Nero, Orville or other movie Pokémon main characters: Lucario (M08), Entei (M03), Zoroark (M13) or Mewtwo (anime). Its a major character with a special backstory. It never appears in any main series. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 01:53, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- I oppose. Slowking has done too little to even have its own article.--ForceFire 12:03, 26 November 2011 (UTC)
- It was more significant than half the human characters who appeared in the second movie. I don't think classing it as "recurring" is appropriate, because its not reappearing, it was a central character and then had one extra episode which had backstory to its life. Its not "occuring again, periodically, or repeatedly", which the definition of Recurring is. If there was another page to move it to I'd be happy with that, but it can't stay here. It doesn't make sense. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 01:50, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
- Can I get some other opinions? I just don't think its right that Carol gets an article for her tiny role whilst Slowking, the main Pokémon besides the birds themselves, gets shoved into a combined article purely because its a Pokémon. Toon Ganondorf (t c) 13:19, 12 December 2011 (UTC)
- Personally, I have to support this motion. Slowking isn't a reoccuring character in the anime like the rest of the Pokémon mentioned on this page. It appeared in the movie, in the Slowking's Day short and we haven't seen it since. Plus, as Toon Ganondorf said, it did play a pretty important role in the film... far more than Melody's sister Carol did. Lauraac2110 12:19, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- I support the move, Slowking is just as notable as the Unown in the third movie Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 21:05, 2 February 2012
- I also support the move. I think of Slowking as a character of the day and they all get pages. He has a speaking role too. Human characters get pages if they appear multiple times in an episode/movie and speak usually so why shouldn't it be the same for Slowking? ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 08:35, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

- Well, then, here's a little extra info on Slowking: he, idiom-wise, broke the fourth wall. I've heard that the "breaking of the fourth wall" is a very rare event in the anime. Pressthebutton 14:55, 6 May 2012 (UTC)
- Not that rare. --SnorlaxMonster 15:24, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Sunglasses Krokorok and Ash
When BW065 airs, should we add Sunglasses Krokorok to recurring wild Pokemon that have been caught knwoing that Ash will catch it? Chomper4 16:50, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
Malamar
In XY054, Malamar from XY019 didn't use Hyper Beam - it was other Malamar who chased Clemont and James. - Rafi862 (talk) 10:06, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
Florges
A Blue Flower Florges appeared in XY069 and is set to appear in XY070. Should we put it on the recurring Pokémon page once XY070 airs? PattyMan 21:51, 23 April 2015 (UTC)
