Bulbapedia logo.png
Welcome to Bulbapedia, Jediknightdtv!

Here are a few links to help you get started:

The Manual of Style, or MoS, outlines the format of all pages on Bulbapedia.

Our friendly team of staff are here to help! Talk to them if you have any questions or problems with Bulbapedia.

On talk pages, please sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~), or by using the "Your signature with a timestamp" (button_sig.png) button at the top of the edit window.

On Bulbapedia, the ability to edit personal userpages is a privilege. Per our userpage policy, this must be earned by first making constructive edits to the mainspace. Once you can, remember to keep userspace edits (edits to User:Jediknightdtv) to a minimum.

For a complete list of policies and editing advice, please see the Welcome Portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Project Anime

though I'm not very active in the Anime, I would have to say that the incomplete synopsizes are an important thing you could help write. The list is here. Now, just to make sure we avoid problems that have happened in the past, using synopsizes from other sites is against the rules here. They need to be written anew. This is something that I think you might be able to do, so have a good time editing here and good luck. ;] MaverickNate 22:22, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Sandbox

Yeah, we don allow those things in our mainspace. Right now the page is at User:Jediknightdtv/Sandbox. Next please be sure to make your user pages at "UserJediknightdtv/Title here". Thanks! --CoolPikachu! 20:04, 7 September 2010 (UTC)

Userspace limits

Hi. I noticed you have been editing the User: namespace a lot recently. Please don't do it any more, though. Bulbapedia's Userspace policy restricts the amount you can edit your userpage: no more than three edits per day. This policy was instated to prevent strain on our server, and also to promote people helping out in the mainspace. Bulbapedia is an encyclopedia, after all, so help us out by contributing to some articles before coming back to your personal userpage. The more often you edit in the mainspace, the more you will be allowed to edit your userpage. Thanks! --Psyライダー 14:10, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

As I mentioned to you before, you can edit a whole page all at once by clicking on the "Edit this page" tab at the very top of the page. That way you can edit multiple sections at the same time, rather than having to do one section at a time. PhantomJunkie 14:16, 8 September 2010 (UTC)

The HP bar code

...is actually from Umeko, not from Jello. I would recommend you at least give her credit unless you're going to change significantly more than the colors and the sprite. That was my bad. PhantomJunkie 05:27, 10 September 2010 (UTC)

Infoboxes

Hey Jedi, I saw your question on Phantom's talk page, is this sort of what you're after? たかはり 08:12, 30 September 2010 (UTC)

I'm glad that's what you wanted. Happy to help :D たかはり 07:11, 1 October 2010 (UTC)
I saw your comment on takharii's talk page, I'm not sure what you're looking for but did you try putting {{User:Jediknightdtv/HPBar}} in your infobox? It should resize automatically to fit inside. Jellotalk 19:50, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah that was the first thing I tried, Jello, and it messed up the formatting. Then I tried dumping the raw code in there, but that didn't work either. I am really frustrated by the stupid thing right now, and I don't know what to do. Any help you can offer would be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.--JediKnightDTV 19:56, 7 October 2010 (UTC)
I think I fixed it. You probably deleted a |} or something, that tends to screw things up. It should work alright now :3 たかはり 04:56, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
Eh...probably. I wouldn't put it past me. I can be pretty airheaded sometimes when it comes to wiki-code, but I am learning and getting better. I know a heck of a lot more now than when I started, which was absolutely nothing. It made me feel absolutely ancient today, when I had a newbie thank me for posting the Welcome Box on his talkpage, and then ask me how to post on a talkpage. Thanks again, Takharii. --JediKnightDTV 05:04, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hey, could you assist me into making my user page look better? You posted a comment on my talk page and it really helped me understand what is going on. I don't know all of the wiki codes and you seem very nice so if it is possible, could you post something on my talk page? Thanks.--Sceptile Maniac 21:02, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

I got read through the links and I started programming my user page. Check it out if you want to.--Sceptile Maniac 21:04, 15 October 2010 (UTC)

Other Users

Hey, Jedi, is it okay if my brother creates an account on the same computer as me, but on a different account?--Sceptile Maniac 13:10, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

I'm gonna answer Jedi, try not to, but inform a Senior Admin or a Bureaucrat first if he must.--444Zekrom 16:08, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, I told him on his talk page to basically ask an admin, and directed him to Kogoro, as she is online right now. --JediKnightDTV 16:12, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

Hey, I just joined. I'm Sceptile Maniac's brother. Kogoro told him that it was okay.--Umbreon Rox 16:57, 16 October 2010 (UTC)

User Page Editing...

Hey, I am Kinda new (well actually very new) and i was wondering what does it mean by the mainspace? when the title is like this -Pikachu (pokemon) is it the pikachu, the (pokemon) or something else entirely? thanks in advance. Kaychun LPM 18:20, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

Talk Page

I've been here four years. I know what is and isn't allowed. You are allowed to remove comments that should go on the forums such as the one I removed. --HoennMaster 19:23, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

My bad. Shoulda been able to tell because of the userpage. And you don't have to be so mean, especially to new users. --JediKnightDTV 19:26, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
I'm not being mean at all, I'm telling it like it is. Besides, new users are suppose to read the rules. It's not my fault if they don't. --HoennMaster 19:38, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay, but all I am saying is, you could be a little bit nicer in how you go about it, and how you say stuff, is all. After all, see the number one rule about the wiki. --JediKnightDTV 19:44, 25 October 2010 (UTC)

A Little More Advice Please?

How can I tell when I am able to make a Userspace? Loghomewill 01:21, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

User Pages

Hi there! I am Will, and I am have been editing wikias for quite a while now. Anyway I was wondering why I can't edit my own User Page??? And when can I edit it? Thanks for your time Will94 09:38, 28 October 2010 (UTC) Thanks heaps for the reply. Just one more question. I have noticed "HP Bars" at the top of some talk pages, what does that mean??? Will94 21:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

They're representations of how big the talk page is. When the HP hits zero, it probably means it's time to archive it.--Cold (talk) 21:07, 28 October 2010 (UTC)

itemshipping

Hi Jedi, as humans there are hundreds of things people have in common. One thing i know everyone loves is stuff. Do you think shipping should include inanimate objects? Auragirl 22:27, 10 November 2010 (UTC)auragirl

    • I definitely think this would be better for the forum, but I don't now how to use it.- unsigned comment from Auragirl (talkcontribs)
You should have an account over there, the same as you have over here. Just experiment a little with it, and you will figure it out. Oh, and you tab over by using the colon on the keyboard (:), not the asterisk like you used. P.S. Don't forget to sign your comments on talkpages by using the "Your Signature with a Timestamp" button, or by typing 2 dashes, followed by four tildes like this: --~~~~. And you do not have to sign the one above, or sign again after your signature, as it is not necessary.--JediKnightDTV 02:11, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi

Just thought I'd let you know, spamming a user's talk page, just to kill their talk page health and make them archive is not a good idea, and is a bit rude. Perhaps reading this might freshen up your memory on what talk pages are for. Thanks. Jellotalk 16:44, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Talkpage Health

How can you see your talk page health? StripedRK9 21:57, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

It is a template that was created by the big cheese around here. If you want to borrow it, feel free. Just go to My Templates page, and it'll be there, under My HP Bar. Just do two things before you use it: change it significantly to suit your own tastes (favorite color, Pokémon, etc.) and make sure to give credit to TTEchidna, after all he came up with the coding for it. If you need help with the coding, feel free to drop me a line. It should be great practice with the wiki-coding for you. --JediKnightDTV 22:05, 18 November 2010 (UTC)

Could I useit too? DoTheWave 01:44, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Go for it. Same conditions apply though (change it, and give credit to TTE). If you need help with the code, drop me a line. --JediKnightDTV 02:57, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

I know that a couple of other users have asked you about this, but do you mind if my userpage utilizes this template? I've checked it out, and I'll make sure that TTE gets credited (along with you, of course), and I've got at least ten different schemes to work with. Thanks much! chiefboz (my talk and contributions) 15:53, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Tell you what, Chiefboz, how about a trade? Feel free to use it (you really don't need to credit me, but I would credit our former big cheese around here) and I would like to use your Pages Needing Attention Statistics one, if that is cool with you? TTYL --JediKnightDTV 18:57, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
You may absolutely use it! I'll also let you use the predict BW release date tag, if you want to - no need to ask me for that one. Thanks a lot! chiefboz (my talk and contributions) 23:05, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

Mail

Do you know how I could add a Mail sprite to the corner of my heading which lets a user e-mail me? DoTheWave 21:24, 19 November 2010 (UTC)

Hey sorry it took me so long to get back. I tried to play around with it on your template, the problem that I keep running into is, you need the square brackets in order to put the image on there, because it is an internal link. However, if it is an internal link, you can't make it do what you want it to do, which is email you when you click on it. I can suggest one of two things: 1) Ask someone who knows a lot more about wiki-coding than I do. Takharii and Phantomjunkie are pretty friendly and helpful if you ask them nicely, and they both know a lot more about wiki-coding than I do, and they both helped me out a lot. 2) They can always email you from clicking the "Email this user" link on the left hand side of the page under toolbox. I know, I know, it's just not the same but...--JediKnightDTV 02:04, 20 November 2010 (UTC)
Put the image in as [[File:Bag Air Mail Sprite.png|link=Special:Emailuser/DoTheWave]] Doing so will give Bag Air Mail Sprite.png Werdnae (talk) 02:21, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for explaining Userpages for me, how should I start editing? I've done a few edits, but most of them have been deleted. Thanks, in advance. Shadow Walker 20:32, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

The best advice I could give you as far as editing goes is lurk a little more, and try to see what makes a good edit. Then, when you feel comfortable, try looking at the list of wanted articles, or if you don't feel comfortable starting from scratch, you can try fixing some stub articles. Hope that helps. --JediKnightDTV 21:06, 28 November 2010 (UTC)

My "Work" Template

Hey JediKnight,

I know you like using the steel colors for templates, and you set the colors on my Work template to those by default. You probably saw me switch them back to default, but I got it set so you can use {{User:Chiefboz/Work|steel|steel}} (or something like that), and your love for those colors will be instantly revived. Just a piece of advice for you. Speaking of the template - where are you going to put it? I haven't seen it up on your userpage yet. I'd love to see other users (meaning people who aren't me) use my hard work! chiefboz (my talk and contributions) 04:57, 7 December 2010 (UTC)

I know I shouldn't really keep conversations going across two talk pages, but I just wanted to let you know I fixed your "problem" and adjusted the alignment and color settings. (And I thought that triggering the "You have new messages" alert would help you get back to this faster.) Check my talk page for full details. chiefboz (my talk and contributions) 02:39, 9 December 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for your friendly message ^^

You're really kind, ahaha. Honestly, the reason why I never delete those angry reminders from TTEchidna or whatever is to remind myself that this wiki means serious business. And I always strive to better organize my thoughts all the while balancing my grammar and memory of templates. At the same time, I also fear that I might make a mistake whenever I add stuff in my favorite Trivia section of any page, because, well, it's an opinion thing, of course, haha.

Honestly, thank you so much for making me realize some things. Haha, I'll be sure to ask as much as possible from now on. ^^

Help

You know a thing or two, your help may be required at the bottom of my talk page Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 00:33, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

I do not know a heck of a lot about wikicode, I did see that you talked to SnorlaxMonster and that he was trying to help you out. If he can't help you, I would say to try asking another admin. Not trying to be mean or blow you off, I am just not the right person to ask about this. I am flattered that you thought that I was though. Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. --JediKnightDTV 00:47, 7 January 2011 (UTC)

Cilan

Hey, the page for Dent is protected and I just thought we should move it to Cilan. It was released on Cartoon Network days ago. --Chiramii 15:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

OOOkay, so talk to an admin, they will be able to move the page for you. Can't tell if any are online right now from the RC, but if you leave a message on one of their talkpages, I am sure that it will get answered today. --JediKnightDTV 16:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Oh, I thought you were an admin... never mind. --Chiramii 16:20, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

No problem. Thanks for the compliment. It is always a good thing to be familiar with the staff, and that list can be found here. --JediKnightDTV 16:26, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Your alerts

You don't have to alert every single admin about vandals. I can guarantee someone will get to it--Derenol232 18:30, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Actually I belive it says in the rules somwhere that you should report vandals as soon as you see them to protect the site, so yeah he dose as it gos Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:33, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Not really, as Category:Pages to be deleted says: Placing {{delete}} on a page will automatically put it into this category. Administrators check this page regularly; there is no need to notify them on their talk pages that there are articles needing deletion. Masatoshitalk 18:39, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
However, Jedi is right to notify them, that way the vandals can be taken care of as quick as possible Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:42, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
They aren't doing a massive spam, this can be handled as soon as they can come back, it's not like their lives are tied to this place. :/ Masatoshitalk 18:44, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Look, it never hurt anyone that Jedi informed the admins anyway, and I guess the point is that they get caught before it is a massive spam Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:47, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
It's not a bad thing, but if you're told not to warn as they check that page, you shouldn't. :/ Masatoshitalk 18:51, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
No it's right there in the policy if you see a vandal notify an admin ASAP so they can be blocked. We don't have time for thier silliness. Stop trying to change the rules when you really don't know what your talking about. Jedi was compleatly right notifing an administrator. It is their job to make the wiki run smoothly. --Pokemaster97 18:56, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Thanks Poké97, I tryed to tell him Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 18:58, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
But he didn't have to notify every single one. One to three of them would be just fine if anything--Derenol232 18:58, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Put your comments to the bottom, and Jedi had no way of knowing who was online so just leave him alone Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 19:00, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
resetting Look, I'm not trying to be a smartass at all, I'm just trying to help, and there's no need to bash at somebody claiming that the guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I might not know, but I'm trying to. I haven't seen anywhere about the alerting through talk pages, so can you address me to it? Also, as per Bulbapedia:Dealing_with_vandalism says, Regular users should immediately report vandalism to an administrator via instant messaging or IRC. Do not use User Talk pages - these will not alert the user until they visit Bulbapedia. - As you see, I'm not trying to be an asshole at all. If you tell me where it is, then I'll just accept it, okay? I'm sorry I'm spamming your talk page, Jedi. Masatoshitalk 19:08, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
Diamond, I put mine on top of yours because you conflicted my edit, and thus mine came first. I did nothing wrong--Derenol232 19:11, 30 January 2011 (UTC)
It which case I apoligies, and Masatoshi, I think you just found the rule yourself in wich case we are not soppose to use the talk pages, I was just defending my pal Jedi here, Mabye what he did was not right, but it was not wrong either, pointing out things like this can make you look a little pedantic, no one is at fault here. Oh, Derenol, your the first person to give me a nickname on here, that made me smile, thanx Diamond Lanturn CodeName: 05308 19:16, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

Just to set the record straight here: 1) I did not know at the time that it was only going to be two spam pages, it could have been the beginning of a MUCH bigger spam attack, which I thought that it was at the time, which the 'pedia has been the target of in the past 2) I was aware of what the policy states on dealing with vandalism however, a) I do not have instant messenger on my computer, I have little use for it and b) I have tried many times to get on the IRC, however, it never seems to work for me for some reason, I do not know if it is my computer or what. 3) I could not see ANY admins active on the RC page, if I had seen even ONE, I would have simply contacted that one. 4) Knowing all of this, I decided to contact all 5 of the ACTIVE administrators on the Staff list on their talkpages, as it was the best way that I could think of to get the best odds that one of them would respond ASAP and take care of it. I personally think that the 'pedia needs a better way to contact staff in the event that someone is in my position and something like this happens again, I just do not know what that would be. A mass email to staff function would be too easily abused in my opinion, but I do not know what other form that this would take. Something for the staff to brainstorm about, maybe. 5) Thank you for sticking up for me, 05308 and Pokémaster 97, I really appreciate it. As for Derenol and Masatoshi, I appreciate your guys feedback as well, but maybe next time, you could avoid spamming my talkpage? Thanks I would appreciate it. I would also sincerely appreciate a staff member letting me know, either here on my talkpage or via email, what I should have done or what an appropriate action would be in the future, in case something like this happens again. Thanks in advance. --JediKnightDTV 17:19, 31 January 2011 (UTC)

Talk pages

It's nice that you're trying to help users fit in, it really is, however, your edit ratio is a bit off. You've been editing user and user talk a lot, but not so much of the mainspace. It'd be nice for you to make some mainspace edits to offset that imbalance. I'm not saying you have to go on some huge epic edit spree, just more focus on mainspace, even if it's something as minor as changing a spelling error. Cheers. --P S Yライダー 00:45, 25 May 2011 (UTC)

Thanks, Psy, I know that I have been doing a lot of stuff in the userspace and usertalk space but I have been busy with school and work and to me, that is the more "casual" stuff that I have time to do while I am busy during the school year. Since I do not have a summer job, as soon as the school year is over (1-2 more weeks tops), I plan on working really hard on the episode summaries for the Best Wishes episodes, and if I can get to them, the DP series episodes as well. My goal is to make these disappear over the course of the summer, as I will have a LOT of time on my hands. Cheers. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 22:16, 25 May 2011 (UTC)
Remember that one time when I asked you if you could edit the mainspace more than the userspace? Since I asked this, you've made four edits to the mainspace. Four. Compare that to your edits of the user talk space, which you make about 10 to them, per day. Given that it's been 21 days or so since May 25th, that's about 210 or so edits the user talk space, compared to the four you've made to the mainspace. Three of which were to remove tags, and the fourth to add episode pictures. Considering this is bordering, if not already passing, talk page abuse, consider this your final warning about the matter. There's always something to do in the mainspace, even if it's going through and fixing spelling, grammar or changing the way a sentence flows. We appreciate you welcoming and helping new users, but you should also want to help improve Bulbapedia. Thank you. --P S Yライダー 00:54, 16 June 2011 (UTC)

" Fail vandal"

There's a difference between a vandal (i.e. someone who deliberately vandalizes pages to cause harm) and someone who is misinformed and not knowledgeable about things. Please don't call people out like that, when it is very likely they meant no harm. Thanks. Jellotalk 21:38, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Template borrowing

Hi Jedi, how are things? I was just wondering if i could use your Navigation and Character Info templates, if it's okay with you that is :) ChromeVoid42 10:52, 22 June 2011 (UTC)

I'm unclear as to what you mean by your most recent edit to the Synopsis. Can you please explain it. Thank you. G50 02:00, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Just re-categorizing it, hopefully more accurately, that's all. Cheers. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 04:53, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

MMXX?

Why are you doing them? It's just MXX. I'm curious to know why you do them (and since we're on it, don't do it anymore, thanks). Masatoshitalk 03:14, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

I am completely and utterly confused by what you mean, my good Masatoshi. I would be more than happy to comply, except for that small problem. I have just come back after a LONG time being gone, and was surfing the needed articles, and thought I could help out with some redirects. I am really good at doing stuff like that*.Cheers. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 04:51, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
You were creating redirects for movie Pokémon, such as Legendary beasts (MM13) and Zekrom (MM14), if you saw them in the requested links, they were probably typos that KG and I could have made last night (or not), in my opinion we don't need redirections like the ones above. The proper style is Pokémon (MXX), where XX is the movie code (01 - 15), just thought I'd let you know. Masatoshitalk 05:06, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
Ah, aha! :) Thank you very much, my good friend. I am now enlightened*. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 05:12, 9 April 2012 (UTC)

Edit links

About a week ago you said on my userpage how to delete the edit links. You said to put __NO EDIT SECTION__ at the top of the page, and it worked. For some reason, the edit links appear again, and so the __NO EDIT SECTION__ is now useless. Can you tell me how to make it permanent? Pringles 00:13, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Japanese name

This might be rude, but how do you write "Jedi Knight" in Japanese? It's really cool, and apparently your signature is in Japanese. Pringles 17:36, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Not rude at all, the first part of my sig, the part in blue, is apparently how you write "Jedi Knight" in Japanese. The last part, the part in green, is my initials (DTV) in Japanese. I got it off of Google Translate, so theoretically, it should be accurate. I don't actually speak, read or write Japanese. Cheers. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 17:47, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
The green bit says "Digital Televi". The Jediknight part looks okay. Unless you want it to actually use the English word "Knight". Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 17:52, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Too funny! I thought it looked a little long to just be initials. Yes, I would actually like it to use the English word "Knight", and also my initials, not the not the word for Digital TV in Japanese. I guess Google Translate was smarter than I was, or I was dumber than it was...either way, more than a little bit embarrassing. Thanks for the help, Jo. --ジェダイの騎士デジタルテレビ 18:03, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
I think DTV would remain the same in Japanese, but if you'd want it in Japanese, this ought to work ディティビ. Then Jediknight is ジェダイ ナイト. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:17, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks again for all the help, Jo. --ジェダイナイトディティビ 18:21, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
*peeks in* Actually V is more commonly stylized as ブイ, sometimes as ヴィ or ヴィー but never as ビ. XD;; And D and T would each use a chouon to elongate the sound, so DTV would be more accurate as ディーティーブイ. :3;;; 梅子 21:22, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for all the help, Umeko. --ジェダイナイトディーティーブイ 22:14, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
I was just wondering also, do you write it traditionally like this?

ジ ェ ダ イ の 騎 士 (it doesn't do it vertically, apparently. It was written vertically.) Or can you just write it in a line like: ジェダイの騎士? And are the tick marks at 騎 connected or separated? I'm a huge Star Wars fan too. This is just so cool. Pringles 03:09, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

thanks

I can now impress all my friends. Jo, are there four tick marks at the bottom left of the sixth character? Pringles 03:02, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Yes, there are; that would be the 馬 radical. But let's not keep clogging up Jedi's talkpage with all this, okay? XD; 梅子 15:59, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Menu Box and HP Bar

How do you do the links to everything at the top of the page? And how do you make the HP Bar? I'm really curious. --プリングルズ (Pringles) (議論 (Discussion/Talk)) 03:21, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

You can look on my Templates page to get the code for the Menu Box and HP Bar. Feel free to borrow the code. The only thing I ask is that you give credit to the original authors of the code (found on my Templates page) and customize the Templates to suit you (favorite colors, Pokémon, etc.). In other words, don't just lift the code and not change them at all. Have fun messing with the code. I would recommend changing one thing, Previewing, and if it breaks, then you know what you changed does. If you need any help, feel free to give me a shout. Cheers. --ジェダイナイトディーティーブイ 03:34, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

MSP→MS

Just wondering, why'd you change MSP to MS for the Ash's friends article? By doing so, there is a deadlink to Luke's Zorua (Pokémon) as an example. ht14 00:29, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

Welcoming users

There's a sort of policy on this site not to welcome just any and all new users; usually we welcome those that actually make some contribution. In part, this is because some accounts may be for spambots or some such. Not to mention it clogs up the Recent Changes log. At any rate, your welcome of several dozens of new users (not all of whom I've checked but some of whom certainly haven't made any edits) is kind of overkill. You should probably refrain from such a spree again in the future. Thanks. Tiddlywinks (talk) 17:10, 28 March 2015 (UTC)

My bad, just trying to be friendly. So to clarify, in the future, we generally wait until users make productive edits to the mainspace before welcoming them to Bulbapedia? I can understand the reasoning behind this. I will do so in the future. Thanks for letting me know. --ジェダイナイトディーティーブイ 17:16, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
We used to welcome every new user, but a few years ago the people who would do that stopped bothering. These days we really only welcome users who actually make edits because they need it. I don't think it really matters if users who haven't yet edited are welcomed. --SnorlaxMonster 17:26, 28 March 2015 (UTC)
