Japanese name
Despite my almost non-existent knowledge of the Japanese language, I can read Hiragana, and those last four letters (which are in Hiragana) do not spell Fuji, they spell Rouji (sorry, mobiles can't do macrons). Is this correct? Either the Kana or the Romanization should be changed. posted by Flicky1991 20:14, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

- R does not automatically become L when converting something from Katakana to Romanji. Remember, Katakana is the system used when writing a Non-Japanese word. The only time an R in Katakana will become an L is if the word that you're trying to write has an L. So, for instance, マリオ is translated as Mario, not Malio, where as ルイージ goes from Ruiji to Luigi. --Dual 18:01, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

- Don't doubt that. Katakana is easily to learn, unlike hiragana. It took me a few days to learn Katakana but took several more days to learn hiragana. I learned kana but I am yet to learn kanjiPokemaniac102 21:42, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

Cloning?
At the end of the fourth paragraph, it mentions DNA samples and cloning when Mr. Fuji encountered Mew, but Mewtwo's not an artificial clone in the games, so those lines should be fixed without reference to any cloning process.Nol 19:41, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Dr. Fuji
I can't believe that even long after "Origins" Bulbapedia still denies a confirmed fact, saying that Mr. Fuji and Dr. Fuji "may" be the same person in the games. It is still up to debate whether the anime Dr. Fuji from Mewtwo Strikes Back is the same character as Mr/Dr. Fuji from the games. But the fact that in the games (as well as Origins) canon Mr. Fuji used to live in Cinnabar Island and was known as Dr. Fuji in the past is obviously confirmed, yet this article treats it like it was just another fan theory, with only little more credibility than Giovanni or Ho-oh being Ash's father. Just look at the facts - this fact was obvious in RGBY already, but in case anyone had doubts, FRLG made it completely confirmed through Fame Checker. Almost 10 years later, Pokemon Origins simply throws the information at your face with expanded Mr. Fuji's role. Doubting this is like denying that Sammy from Pokemon 4Ever is a younger Samuel Oak in the anime. I think everyone agrees with me because I think that there isn't much space for discussion here - game Dr. Fuji and game Mr. Fuji ARE the same person, while anime Fuji and game Fuji are not neccessarily the same character (however, the Dr. Fuji article mistreats the Mr./Dr. Fuji affair in a yet different way - it treats anime Dr. Fuji as the same character as game Dr. Fuji, who "may" be the same character as Mr. Fuji, this also needs to be sorted out). While I do believe that Dr. Fuji in the anime was at least inspired by the game Dr./Mr. Fuji's story, there are notable differences in their story - game Mr. Fuji's past as Dr. Fuji seems like a more distant past than anime Mewtwo's Birth story and above all, the anime Dr. Fuji died with all other scientists when Mewtwo destroyed the lab, so he never became Mr. Fuji as the game Fuji did. So, I think it's better to keep anime Fuji and game Fuji as two separate articles but the similarity between the two must be noted. I would edit both Mr. Fuji and Dr. Fuji articles right now (I'd also move "Dr. Fuji" to "Dr. Fuji (anime)" and make "Dr. Fuji" a disambig) but I won't do this in case I would get somebody angry at me for doing this. - I don't oppose, but I do have to point out that "no response" is completely different from "no opposition". Be bold, sure, but don't assume nobody opposes just because they didn't see that there was a message on a talk page somewhere that they didn't notice (or didn't have the energy to read, given how much of a wall of text it was).
