| Remove a number of damage counters from Kabutops equal to half the damage done to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance) (rounded up to the nearest 10). If Kabutops has fewer damage counters than that, remove all of them.

Its sleek shape is perfect for swimming. It slashes prey with its claws and drains the body fluids.

Release information
This card was released in the English Fossil expansion as both a Holofoil and Non Holofoil card, originating from the Japanese Mystery of the Fossils as only a Holofoil card. The Non Holofoil print of this card was later reprinted in the English Legendary Collection expansion.
Trivia
Although this Pokémon is level 30, Kabuto does not evolve into Kabutops until level 40.
Origin
Absorb is a move in the Pokémon games that Kabutops can learn. This card's English Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Blue, whereas the Japanese entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green.
