Starter choice

Pokebeach has confirmed that Bel chooses the starter weak against yours. --Shiny Noctowl 20:03, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

hometown

we have the info for the player characters and rivals hometowns...so shouldn't it be added to bel and Cheren's pages? Ataro 03:40, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Champion?

Didn't the Elite 4 articles detailed earlier that Bel ended up as the Champion? I no longer see that around, was that removed? Rai Marshall 23:51, 29 September 2010 (UTC)

Ended up being just a silly rumor. ~ solaris 23:59, 29 September 2010 (UTC)
actually it was real..but it's just unused game data Ataro 00:03, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
If it was unused, shouldn't it still be mentioned somewhere? I guess we haven't gotten to the Black and White Beta article yet, though... Rai Marshall 00:28, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
Actually, we have. --SnorlaxMonster 09:17, 1 October 2010 (UTC)

No you haven't I just looked at it and it says nothing about Bel being champion.RBK 00:22, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

Nevermind didn't look at the bottom of this page.RBK 00:24, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

wrong sprite

the sprite used is the sprite shown in the intro after naming your character. the sprite used in battle is different. same with cheren. -Pokeant 06:53, 7 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivia issue?

Related to the silly rumors above on this page about Bel being mistaken as the initial Champion of the game, I see a trivia bit for this added in onto the main page. But should misinformation like this really be a trivia bit? I see related misinformation on other pages like Mamanbo and such. I'm kind of in favor of removing it... --Chicobo329 07:29, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

From what I heard, it wasn't just a rumor. It was actually in the beta version of the game. --ケンジガール 07:32, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
Is there any solid proof for this? That's a very interesting possibility if it's true, but until there's some proof, would it be fair to remove this trivia bit for now, especially since it doesn't allude to a possible beta anyway? --Chicobo329 07:35, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
I removed the trivia. I'm not sure if the beta rumor is true or not. Hopefully someone can shed some light on the matter. --ケンジガール 07:59, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
It is not. No Champion Data for Bel. All Bel's teams have the class "Pokemon Trainer". I bet someone just spotted Bel's final battle team and jumped to the conclusion "She has such strong Pokemon! She must be a Champion!". But this is nothing more than a rumor. --Maxim 13:33, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
I hate to sound like I'm attacking you Kenji, but look through various parts of the Diamond and Pearl series. You will see a few instances where trivia mentions rumors and fakes episodes, some of them that you yourself said were ok to keep. This isn't any different. --HoennMaster 13:43, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
It's not Kenji so much as it is me; I've been wondering about this kind of trivia discussing misinformation/rumors to TTE one night and he suggested I put a talk page discussion about this. What makes trivia about rumors and misinformation noteworthy on a site that compiles accurate information? That's the question I have in my head when I see trivia such as this around the site. --Chicobo329 18:39, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
I think it's because of how much attention rumors and fake info receive and that's why it has been done. --HoennMaster 04:37, 13 October 2010 (UTC)

How is this article a Stub? Mesuxelf 17:20, 12 December 2010 (UTC)

Bel's Chillarmy

How is Bel's Chillarmy a male? It looks more of a guess as it mostly cleans dirty stuff. PattyMan 18:04, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Because it uses Attract on Ash's Snivy and it works. :| Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 18:08, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
also, what does cleaning have to do with its gender Ataro 18:15, 16 December 2010 (UTC)
Thanks Jo. Its ironic that both of them know attract. PattyMan 20:53, 16 December 2010 (UTC)

Bel's page

Bel's anime counterpart does not deserve its own page, such as Barry and Lyra?Hikaru Wazana 18:15, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

She's only appeared in one episode so far, unlike Barry and Lyra. Too early to decide if she should get her own article. Jellotalk 22:42, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

I think she should get her own page especially since she told ash they will meet again. Also there is a trivia point that states she's ash's first female rival, if casey isn't counted. Don't rivals get there own pages? Shooti did after one episode.RBK 20:40, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Shooti doesn't exist in the games, so he didn't already have an article that anime information could be added to. (Besides, it's not just rivals but everyone in the anime who gets an article.) Bel exists in both the games and the anime, and separate articles for each continuity won't be created without a good reason. —Minimiscience 20:48, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

But it says she is ashs first female rival isn't that reason enough? All rivals get pages if im not mistaken don't they?RBK 00:10, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

I'm going to remove the trivia. If she's not in the rival's box in the character template than she's not a rival yet. We are waiting until she has a significant role before we do anything. --ケンジガール 09:37, 25 December 2010 (UTC)

Bel and Barry Design Similarities.

  • Orange and Green.
  • Live Caster and Pokétch.
  • Blonde Hair.
  • They both carry that pack over their shoulders.

Trivia-worthy? --Landfish7 03:30, 9 January 2011 (UTC)

If you wanna talk overall similarities between the two, there are a lot. In the anime, they both meet Ash by knocking him off his feet (Barry ran into him; Bianca fell over a rock, thus sending both Cilan and Ash flying into a lake... or whatever). The first time they meet Ash also involves a badge case (Barry loses his when he runs into Ash; Bianca is delivering one). Other similarities would include the first letter of their name (in english, anyway), and the fact that they are both rivals (in the games, possibly in the anime). Their dads actually appear in the games [and possibly in the anime] (Palmer is a frontier brain, Bianca's dad drags her away from training in the game... if I'm correct). Not sure if this information is of any use but.... XD. I'm new at this, if that wasn't evident. Embrace my noobiness ;P.--BabyRuRu 03:51, 9 February 2011 (UTC)

Move to "Bianca"

http://www.pokemonblackwhite.com/en-us/friends-and-foes/friends/

Thanks in the future. Ninterror 01:13, 14 January 2011 (UTC)

We already have another Bianca this one isn't going anywhere. --CoolPikachu! 05:40, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
I suggest that now "Bianca" has been moved to "Bianca (movie)", this one should be moved to "Bianca", as she is far more notable than a movie character. In addition, she is not exclusive to the games; she has appeared in both the anime and the manga too. There are no old links regarding movie Bianca linking to Bianca, as I fixed any remaining. There are other incidences where one character is more notable than a CotD (which is what movie characters are) and is at the page itself, leaving a note with {{search}} at the top. If not "Bianca", at the very least, she should be moved to Bianca (Unova). --SnorlaxMonster 06:57, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
To be perfectly honest, I wasn't implying any of this. I just was expecting a simple replacement, from "Bel (game)" to "Bianca (game)". However with what ya'll said, I wouldn't mind the change to simply be "Bianca". --Ninterror 20:40, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
I disagree leaving Bianca where she is now is consistent with the other rivals such as Barry, Blue, etc. --CoolPikachu! 20:55, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
The other rivals have separate articles for their anime/manga counterparts, so calling them "game" is fine. Bianca only has one article, and all of her counterparts are here, so she is not exclusive to the games. Also, Wally doesn't get "(game)", probably because of his manga appearance. --SnorlaxMonster 00:06, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
I don't mean to perpetuate this, but say for example Bianca's anime counterpart gets more screentime and becomes a full rival, like Barry did. In such a case, we would have to separate the game and anime pages anyway. Given her status as a game character, I'd be very surprised if Bianca didn't show up again in the anime. Just my two cents. Okoa 05:19, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
She's not Ash's rival, yet. We are going to wait for more appearances before we even go there. She could just be another Casey. Anyway, SnorlaxMonster has a point. --ケンジガール 05:25, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
We can't say, will she, or will she not, thus there is no reason to leave this article with wrong name just because of assumption. If eventually anime Bianca will grow into notable character, the article will be splited. Bulbapedia works with present, as far as I understand, not with possible future. --ЫъГЬ 13:51, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
If her anime counterpart appears often enough, she would deserve her own page. However, at the moment, she only has one page, which is titled as if she is exclusive to the games. --SnorlaxMonster 14:24, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
I just don't get it. This article has a well written anime section along with a manga section and still, its name is "Bianca (game)", doesn't make any sense. Just Bianca would be nice till we have a separate anime article for her. ♫♪AdyNiz♪♫ 14:31, 17 January 2011 (UTC)
Having a disambag doesn't make any sense for only two entries. That is what the "This article is about x. For y, see here" template is for. This Bianca appears as a main character in the games and various manga, and also appears in the anime. The other Bianca only appears in one movie. This article should be moved to Bianca with a hatnote placed. Blake Talk·Edits 19:06, 21 January 2011 (UTC)
I honestly would like to leave this at it is as of now, since this Bianca is the best known counterpart overall, if Bianca shows up in the anime more often, like Barry or even Ritchie, then I would agree to separate this article onto two. Masatoshi talk contribs 14:01, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Yes, she could have an anime article if she appears often enough, but we would likely end up doing it like Brock and Brock (anime) due to the manga anyway. This article is not only the game Bianca, so it should not be titled as if it were. --SnorlaxMonster 14:07, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
Exactly. This is not a game only character, thus the (game) tag is misleading. At the very least, this should be moved to (Unova), but this character is going to be more popular then the (movie) Bianca, so she needs to have prominence, and have a "Did you mean ___" notice at the top asking the reader if they meant to look for "Bianca (movie)". That is how things are handled when only 2 instances of a name occur. Blake Talk·Edits 14:17, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
That would be the best way to go about this. Even if Bianca got a Bianca (anime) page, this should still be at Bianca since it has a manga section as well. J-J-M 17:16, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
I also agree for the move to just Bianca for now considering she is a new character and it is better to wait until more information to pile through before newer pages for Bianca are created. -Tyler53841 17:23, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
So what are the final thoughts? --Landfish7 18:04, 5 February 2011 (UTC)
(Once again I'm ignored) In my opinion, this article is not just about Biance in the game, it is about Biance in general and so the article should be named Bianca, or even Bianca (Unova), for now. Landfish7 00:23, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Just throwing in my vote that I think the disambig should be dropped. This article so far comprehensively includes game, manga and anime information. If we had a seperate page for anime, I'd consider leaving it as is, but I think it should be moved. --ZestyCactus 04:46, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
CharacterDex Co-Head Head Psy wouldn't mind it being Bianca. The movie Bianca, as important as she is in the movie, is just that, a movie character. Rival Bianca is more important than her. Just my little two cents and judgement. --P S Yライダー 07:03, 28 February 2011 (UTC)

Munny

In the games, when (SPOILER) Team Plasma kidnaps her Munna, Bianca refers to it as Munny, however it has no nickname in later battles of course. Is is trivia worthy? — ∀ЫъГѣTalk page 17:11, 4 March 2011 (UTC)

Name Section

The description of her Japanese name says it may be related to the "prefix -bel". If it were a prefix, it would be bel-, but I don't know if it is a prefix and the hyphen should be moved, or if it's actually a suffix and the hyphen is in the right place.Geekvixen 06:55, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

This and Cheren's title

Shouldn't they have "(game)" at the end of their title like Silver (game)? - unsigned comment from Pikachu Bros. (talkcontribs)

Nope, because it doesn't just cover her in the games. Includes manga as well. --SnorlaxMonster 17:11, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
OK. Pikachu Bros. (talk) 17:13, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Manga Pokemon infobox

The infobox about her Pokemon in Be a Master!! Pokémon BW leads to Pokemon Adventures article about her Oshawott. Could someone fix it or is it intentional? Ariano 11:15, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

I would think we're trying to turn Bianca's Oshawott into a collective page, similar to how Cilan's Pansage (for example) has info from the anime, games, and two different manga. But you might have to ask Zesty Cactus who is the lead head of the manga. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 14:06, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

Glasses...?

Is it just me, or is that Cheren's glasses she's wearing in B2/W2? Drakko 21:26, 24 May 2012 (UTC)

No one knows. Ataro 21:29, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
The frames are different. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 06:57, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

1st Official Female Rival

If your a guy whose played sapphire ruby or emerald May was your rival. But if you're a girl(like me)you know Brendan was your rival but in black and white if your boy or girl Bianca is one your rivals. Trivia worthy? - unsigned comment from Rusa11 (talkcontribs) 21:12, 13 June 2012‎

Since you could have female rivals in Gen III and Gen IV too, no, it's not trivia worthy. ☆The Solar Dragon☆ 21:16, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

May is not an official rival because she is only the rival IF YOU ARE A GUY. Which may be hard for you to believe but are not all pokemon fans and who in Gen IV?Rusa11 (talk) 00:22, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

May is still an official rival, regardless if you only get her half of the time. --It's Funktastic~! (talk) 00:24, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Ok can I at leased put Bianca as the first fem rival if you are a girl. Or something like that.Rusa11 (talk) 00:50, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Nope. Been stated by two other users that it is not trivia worthy in the slightest. I have to agree. Frozen Fennec 00:57, 16 June 2012 (UTC)
Not to mention personal gender means nothing. There are plenty of people out there (like myself) who play as both the Male and Female characters. --HoennMaster 04:59, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

I met play as a girl not if you are a girl. And okay, understood.Rusa11 (talk) 16:01, 16 June 2012 (UTC)

Animated sprite

Shouldn't Bianca's sprite be animated like Cheren's and N's (although it seems like the sprites on their pages are static images too)? And the sprite of Bianca on her page right now is from the introduction (the part after you select and name your character) Alishere (talk) 21:50, 20 June 2012 (UTC)

Age?

I was wondering why, exactly, the sidebar states her age is 10 in BW, and 12 in BW2. It was stated numerous times even before the release that her age is at least older than the previous protagonists, and just looking at the picture of her makes it clear she is not a 10 year old. I've never seen a 10 year old with hips like that. Just because trainers usually receive their first pokemon when they're 10 doesn't automatically mean Bianca is 10. Noka (talk) 18:33, 27 September 2012 (UTC)

Note the + sign next to the 10 and 12. It means she's at least that age. Could be 14, 16, or even 18. We don't know. The reason it's there is because Cheren said he knew Bianca for 10 years in BW. Since 2 years passed in BW2, he's known her for 12 years. --ケンジガール 19:03, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
