Shin (Japanese: シン Shin) is the main character of the manga series Pokémon BW: The Hero of Thunder and Fire. He is based on the male player character of Pokémon Black and White.

Emboar is Shin's first Pokémon. It first debuted as a Tepig when Shin started his journey and evolved into a Chaoboo after a battle with Togari, a Team Plasma grunt.
Emboar's known moves are Ember, Tackle, and Flame Charge.
